Had a call from “no caller id” followed by a call from this number. I have had the Dell service call (fake because they had their DB stolen years ago) from this area code. Did not answer this time.

I received a call from this number at about 7:30 pm. It was a man with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, yada yada yada. My house has received calls like this multiple times, so naturally my little brother grabbed the phone and played along for a while, never actually going to his computer. When the caller *finally* understood that he was being trolled, he went off the handle, swearing and making comments far too inappropriate for a 14 year old. He hung up on the him, unphased, but when the man called back he gave me the phone and I was shocked at the things he was saying. I demanded to speak to his manager, and the next thing I knew they were both threatening me sexually. Obviously I hope that nobody falls for this one, and I'm annoyed that people like this give honest Indian telemarketers, who are annoying enough as it is, a worse name.

I'm continually getting calls from this number. It started on my Skype on my cell, then my home phone and now for the past two days on my cell.Please get these people to stop. I called them back and it said I couldn't get through because it was a skype call. What is the deal?Please please please make them stop.

I've received 2 phone calls from this number today - both times no voice mail was left.

I worked for Microsoft for a bit after they purchased my company. Trust me, they will never call individual users and tell them they have a virus or that you need to pay them to fix your computer. This is a scam. I received several calls on my landline from this number with the caller id coming up as "skype caller." My voice mail picks up after 4 rings so I ignored the call, but they continued calling and I finally started picking up the phone as soon as it rang and then hanging up as soon as I answered it and they finally stopped trying to call.

the phone number 661-748-0240 was used by a hacker to gain info from my computer, beware of any microsoft offers until you can verify. locked up my computer, gained all my info on it and badly damaged it. also used area code, out of country . do not open or call microsoft on line unless you are sure about their phone number, these people want to charge repair money, take over you com. security and if you do as they ask they will do everything, they did to mine.

I received a call in my office asking for my boss by name and asking for a meeting between her and his boss, a Michael Santo with Neev Technologies. He insisted that the two of them had had a telephone meeting and that Santo would be in California between May 6 and 10 and want a face to face meeting. I knew that she would never have had such a conversation and would have referred anyone legitimate to our IT manager. When I asked for a number to call back, I was given this number. I don't know where they thought they were going with the call.

I called myself from Skype, and this was the number that came up. It's probably the number that comes up whenever anybody makes a call from Skype, whether it's a friend, a prank caller, or a scam artist.
