These people claim to be from "copper deals". I got a call from a Barbara barf1980@gmail.com claiming to want to use my eBay account to sell her items. First she said she was from sears.com then said she was purchasing from items walmart.com. Her story was never straight. I also got a call from 214.989.4309 from the same people.These people are SCAMMERS!

Not only did I receive a call from 661-748-0240 but also 661-748-0245. Didn't answer either and both went to vc mail with no msg left.

Just got a call from him asking about my mac which i just got repaired today asking me "what were you doing with it?" which i thought was strange for an apple employee to want to know. Then he said "I hate it when us genius's have to deal with you [***] people" so i just hung up assuming it was spambut now im concerned that he got my information somehow from the apple store

I did call back and said the same thing. The called me 5 times within 2 days!!! Called from different numbers: 661-748 -0242 0240 0244

This Number is calling from someones IPad that they pay to use Minutes from Skype, so their able to make calls from their IPad. I hope this helps as I learned this tonight from Skype.

Just received call from this number. Did not answer and they did not leave message. Nowadays, these unwanted calls come several times a month, it used to be NEVER.

I think that I found out who the number belongs to. I was testing my Skype service and called my cell phone and 661-748-0240 was the number that show up on my cell phone. Since Microsoft owns Skype, I guess the number belongs to Microsoft.

Here's the deal with that number. It is used by Skype to route phone calls made from computers. It could be phoned from anywhere in the world, but this is the number that it displays when you get it. That's why you can never call it back. Don't sweat the small stuff... if it's a friend using Skype, they will leave a message.
