Received 2 calles today so far -8:30 AM and 9:10 AM on a Sunday morning on my DNC registered cell phone. WTF!They rang three times each, no message. I have a list of over fifty telemarketers with multiple numbers that have called me on my DNC registered cell phone. I have filed complaints and heard nothing more about it. The Gov. DNC list is a big joke played upon everyone that signed up on it.

My mother recieved a phone call from this number this morning and the caller claimed to be her grandson, even naming him by name. It stated he had a cold and did not sound like himself, but went on to say he and a Mexican friend who was a mechanic were in Mexico on a vacation won by a radio station. He went on to tell her about how excited he knew she would be and they were in first class all the way. He said he needed a favor but not to tell his mother or father he was in Mexico. She kept telling the caller that this was not her grandson's voice and he replied using the term Grandma, which my son never calls her. The phone then was abruptly hung up. I spoke to my son a few minutes ago and he is very much here in our town and at work. The caller seemed to familiar with my family and my 86 year old mother is in a panic. She has bad eyesight and can not read ID without a magnifiying glass.

My neighbors are getting phone calls stating that I have a freezer full of dead cats and that people are smoking joints while they are naked in my back yard. It is three below zero outside at the time of the call!I have also had neighbors being called and whoever it is using this SKYPE number, they are identifying themselves as me. They are telling my neighbors that I am a registered sex offender. They are getting everyone's phone number around you and your number by going to NEIGHBORHOOD WHITE PAGES by using GOOGLE.I would think that SKYPE would block this number themselves, but they are based in Luxembourg and apparently don't give a crap about it.People that are SKYPE subscribers have already said that they have lousy customer service, so they aren't going to do anything for you and me either!

Just received a call from the number. The caller was a Kate with American Debt Management. She explained to me that I owed 700.00 on a credit card that she said I had in 2011. Continued to ramble on that if I was to choose to pay a lesser amount, they would bypass the courts and save me 4000.00. I informed her that I had never applied for a credit card ever. I told her to give me two days and I`d call her back. After contacting the bank she said had given them the information, they had no knowledge of myself or any bad debt with them on any credit card. I then did some research on the net and found that the two numbers were actually from the "skype" program. The next morning "Miss Kate"..called me unexpectedly and asked me if I had made a decision. I ask her for an address in order to send the payment. She, for some reason couldn't provide an address nor a working number. I told her to do whatever she had to..and hung up. To be continued...

Called my cell phone 5x . Saved to my directory and named the number "Do Not Answer".

Auto call asking me to visit a website that will ? save me money? something..... I hung up

If you want to block this number on a land line number, you can buy a Panasonic (not every Panasonic has it) phone that will block the number completely, you will never hear from them again on that number. But the problem is actually Skpe who won't do nothing about it. The FCC is also to lazy to do any thing about it.

This person called me a few days ago when I lost my dog. They had a thick indian accent and told me they were from petrescue.com and for a fee, they would help me find my dog etc. It sounded sketchy and I declined. They called back that night and I did not answer. I ended up finding my dog yesterday and got another call today from a younger sounding kid that said he had my dog. I told him I had found my dog. he told me he was sorry, he was on morphine and didnt know what was going on, then started calling me names. I hung up again. Hopefully they'll stop calling!

Just got a call from this number after posting on fb and in a forum about our frustration with Comcast/Xfinity. Person said they heard about the problem and could come out tomorrow to fix it at no charge. Initially thought it was a legitimate response to my postings but did a search on the number when I checked my caller ID and saw it was coming from California. Glad I did the search and found all of these responses. Definitely sounds like a SCAM. Wondering how they got access to our information. This is not good! Said they could come out tomorrow between 9-12 to fix our problem. That is not going to happen!!!!!

Microsoft has nothing to do with it. Nor does Dell, or Apple, or HP. The scammer CLAIMS to be from those companies but they are not. They are LYING about being from a reputable company. It has nothing to do with Windows 8 or 8.1. These are often international companies, so it is hard for the FTC to shut them down quickly. It has to do with dishonest people preying on the gullible. I received a call from this number on Thursday. (661) 748-0240. I told him I know it's a scam, I think it's deplorable what they are trying to do, told him he needs to find a new job, and don't ever call me again!" And I hung up. I didn't give him access to my PC. Bottom line is, if people are aware of these scams and stop giving them personal info, access to their computers so they can phish their banking info, and money from their credit cards, we will start to see them fade away.
