Caller has a thick Indian accent and says he is from Micosoft technical support. He says my computer is sending messages and that the computer has a virus. Before he could go too much further than that, I told him that Microsoft does not call customers and that I doubt that he worked for Microsoft. I told him to quit calling me and hung up. This has to be a phishing scam.

The calls increased because telemarketers sell the phone lists they have to other jerks.Legit businesses will stop calling because of "do-not-call" lists. But scammers don't care anyway. They are doing illegal stuff to begin with. So don't blame mother in law. It wasn't her advice, just the low life scammers who proliferate once a human voice answers a phone, they can sell that number to others of their type of business. They're like roaches, breeding in the dark.And this number did call me too.

"Jack Turner" w/ Indian accent calling from Best Mortgage Consultants of FL, selling [illegal] upfront fee loan modification services. Main number is 407-413-9225

Someone from this number called my office and asked to speak to a person who was no longer working for us and then call me a [***] and hung up. No clue who the caller was or where he was from.

Listed a house for rent in northern CA. Got a call from this number, probably Asian accent, more like Indian, asking "How many bathrooms does the house have?" Well, the details of the house was listed. I asked "Did you read the ad?" "Can I see the house this Sunday, I am coming from Sonoma?" "lt will be open on Sunday 1-3p, you are welcome to drop by." "1-3? ok, I will come by". Of course I noticed it was a scam immediately, the accent, the bathroom bit, and Sonoma?...... These guys need to be trained by their criminal teachers better. They just won't cut it as a criminal...

Just got a call from 661-748-0240 about ten minutes ago or so. I don't even use Skype, either, but yet, they got a hold of my number. No message left, either, BTW.

Second unsolicited call in as many days. Only recent computer issue was recent call to Dell which was answered by someone in India. Bogus calls because they couldn't state what my original call regarded. Spoke with Microsoft tech support and their first response was to call the Do Not Call number so I called back again to report. Don't understand how my unlisted number is now being called by people from India!!!

If your for real, just call the police and tell them all about it, they can trace the call !!!

Hi there, just want to add some advice. Please think of your computer from now on as your wallet in your purse which you definitely would not hand to a stranger. I wish there was a way to stop these...one thing I like to do is press and hold the "9" button on my phone because it has the most irritating tone!! That usually gets a quick hang-up...
