I received a call on my home phone and when In picked up the the message said my Master Card account is locked, press 1 to activate. (I don't have a Master Card.)This came from a 701 area which is ND and my home state.

As other posts have stated this is correct, it is a phishing scam that requests card numbers even pin numbers and has been reported on multiple financial institutions fraud press releases. The number sometimes changes as does the name of the alleged institution but it is always the same spoofers trying to steal your information from sometimes unwitting victims. Your institution will never ask for your pin and very seldom would ask for the full number. If you didn't initiate the call or feel uncomfortable giving the information then DONT .

Called and left no message. Identified as 8181005000.

Kept getting calls from this number--a recorded message offering me a CC with a low rate. Usually I hang up but today pressed the option to talk to a rep. When I told the rep ("Cynthia") that I wasn't interested in the offer but wanted to be taken off the calling list, she said "No." I couldn't believe it. I said "Excuse me?" She said "No" again and hung up on me. Unbelievable.

I got a call from 701-509-8703 and answered. Was an automated voice saying there was a block put on my mastercard. Said to press 1 to unblock. I pressed 1. Voice said to press 1 to unblock or 2 to leave. I pressed 1. Voice said to enter the 16-digit number of my mastercard. I started laughing and hung up because this is a very bad attempt at stealing someone credit card - ID. I do wish there was something more to be done to prosecute these scammers!

Received call phishing my BECU accounts today. Hung up before access.

got a call from this number claiming to be a "trading post" cigarette company, (was an actually person on the other end) ..asked if i still smoke , told them that i dont and she said she would take my name off the list.. gotta love these scammers!!

got a call from this # yesterday, said they were my debit MC was suspended due to fraud.

Call to my cell. Did not answer since I did not recognize #. No message left.

received call from this number. they left no messages. recently put fraud alert on my credit. signed up and then cancelled att uverse, also have new att cell phone service but it is through straight talk. Also started working for pre-paid visa company. All seem to be common to the above post??????
