This number has been calling my cellphone two to three times per day for about two weeks now. I never pick up unknown numbers and they never leave a message.
My caller ID showed up as Reset. I called back and a recording came on telling me "all circuits are busy" May God help them if they call back.........................................
Got the call from the number - sad they were HSBC and said y credit card was locked and to press #1 - i dont bank with hsbc and i didn't press #1
I just got a call from this number. A recording claiming to be Mastercard, and they have shut off my ATM and press "1" to talk to the security department.SCAM
Recording claimed to be WaMu bank, informing me my credit card has been locked, and asking me to press 1 to be connected to someone. I hung up without pressing 1. WaMu is defunct, and I never had an account with them in the first place. I am on the Do Not Call registry.
Just answered and a recording said it was the Master Card fraud Dept and they have locked my account and if I want my account reactivated to press 1. I looked up the # and found you here. I just blocked the call from coming again.
scam. it was a recording that said my hsbc credit card was locked and i should press a button. i don't have an hsbc card. i received the call after midnight.
I just received the call as well. Non of my cards are affected. I'll be reporting it to Mastercard.
This is the second type of call I got. A robotic voice telling me my debit card was locked, but that by entering all kids of personal data (SSN, DOB, etc.), they would gladly unlock it for me. HaHa, that's rich!
I got a call from this number and answered. Was an automated voice saying there was a block put on my mastercard due to fraudulent activity. Said to press 1 to unblock. I pressed 1. Voice said to press 1 to unblock or 2 to leave. I pressed 1. Voice said to enter the 16-digit number of my mastercard. They must really think people are STUPID!The STRANGE thing is that my daughter got a similar call less than half an hour earlier from the number 555-555-5555. When she pressed 1 the call was disconnected. She let me know right away since the only MC she has is a paypal debit that I am cosigner on. PayPal does have both of our cell phone numbers for the text alerts so I'm going to call them and find out if their information has been compromised? Just thought it was quite the coincidence!
