Thank you Gordon. I'd forgotten the web site to file these complaints. I've received 3 calls from 3 different numbers in the past week. grrrr.
Just received a call from this number and was told my Wells Fargo debit card was locked out, and they gave me a number to call. Since I don't have the card, I figured it was a scam and didn't go further. I looked up their number and found more problems with it here. Sure wish there was a way to stop these scammers.
I got a call at 11:25am on my cell phone from this number 701-509-8703 saying my wells fargo visa debit card has been deactivated due to irregular activity and to press 1 to be transfered to the security department. I hung up immediately.
This number is for Order Network. If you have ordered anything online using this company, they now have your phone number and can call you. I was trying to order Nancy's Pizza online, and apparently, they use this company. Fabulous....
This number is associated with a nationwide phishing scam primarily targeting large banking institutions, B of A, Chase, Fifth Third, etc. I have received two calls on my cell phone, the first time was on 12/17/11 from a different number, which I answered, alluded to a locked debit card/checking acct. and to press 1 to be connected to a CSR. Since my cell number is not associated with any of my banking information I pressed 1 only to have the message reprompt. I immediately called the bank it made reference to and they were aware of it and flagged my accounts to look for suspicious activity. I did not answer the second call on 12/27/11 because I was busy but the unfamiliar number made me suspicious and further research led me to this number being associated mainly with B of A accounts (which I no longer have). In some way the idiots did me a favor because now I get my account protection upgraded and free for an additional year.
I received a call saying that my debit card was going to be cut off (without any kind of warning from my bank) and that I should "press 1" to resolve the issue. After checking out my accounts, they're fine with no hint at having any kind of problem.
I received a call from this number, i did answer and was told that my HSBC Credit Card was reported stolen.I was then asked to give my card number, expiration date, and pin number, which i didn't. I hung up and called HSBC and they verified that it was a PHISHING SCAM. HSBC blocked my card and issued me a new one.
