I just got a call from this number. It was a recorded message saying they were HSBC Bank and my Debit Card was hacked. Press 1 for a New Card. I don't have an account with HSBC so I hung up.
Got a call from this number. They claimed to be Wells Fargo bank and wanted me to reactivate my debit card. Problem is, I don't bank at Wells Fargo. Wondering if my cell is going to be hijacked.
Just received a call from this number @ 3:45 am! Pissed off they woke me up and now I read all this. UGH!!!!!
They are trying to steal your Card #. DO NOT EVER ENTER YOUR CARD # WITHOUT VERIFYING THE CALLER ID!!!!
i just received a call from 701-509-6461 claiming to be from h&r block in regards to my prepaid card. I don't have a prepaid card. It was an automated system wanting me to press 1 to activate the card but I didn't press anything and after 30 seconds the phone just hung up on me.
I just got a robo-sounding call from this number. The voice claimed to be HSBC bank, and said my debit card had been locked, and said to press 1 to talk to someone about it. (I'm not an HSBC customer.) I called back and got a non-HSBC message that asked me to press 1 if I wanted to opt out of future marketing calls. I elected to hang up and not press anything.
Received two calls from this number, ignored first one... two days later another called answered this one... "calling about a contest you entered" Told them never to call number again and hung up.I live in CANADA
This is a scam. Do not press any numbers that they ask you to press. It could be that they steal your long distance and it will end up over seas and you will be charged hundreds or thousands of dollars, because the charges come back to you. Sometimes they ask for your card information.. Never, Never, Never give your information over the phone to anybody that you didn't call first.
