I live in Rossville, Ga and I sell Avon there I reviced this email on Sunday from a lady named Goldie Williams. I sent her an email back asking how I was going to get the products to her and she emailed me back this morning telling me that they are going to do a photo shot in my area soon the only place that I know that is even close to me other then Atlanta that you may have people coming to do photo shots like that is in Chattanooga anyways she also informed me that the Sponor does not mail money orders or checks to P.O. Boxes. I know that is not right becuase you can send money orders or checks to anywhere including a P. O. Box. Anyways she also stated that she needed my phone number to get in touch with me as well. I let her know that I am not taking money orders or checks at this time do to too many scams and that she could go on myavon.com and use a credit card and that she did not need to get back in touch with me unless she was going to use my web store.

I got an email from Brenda Jarvis as well. Told her I would NOT order her products unless I had the money first. SO glad I didnt order those products!!!!!!!!!!!

I rec'd this same message and I replyed to that and the person name was Goldie William...IT'S NOT REAL. I will call my Avon Rep, and let me see if something can be done about this. MMMMMMMMMM

I got the same e-mail but with a different phone # 717-229-7841. I knew it was a scam

I got the same email and all today. And I live In Pittsburg, Tx no reason for them to have a photo shot in my town i'm glad i looked this up first.

Do not send them anything! I got the same thing. Guess my online business is always going to be just fraud buyers.

I received this email from not one but two different scammers, so I wrote them back and told them I only deal with cash and if you want to use a debit/credit card you must go through my website. Well one of them responded that they could only work with bank check or money order and that it was not up to them but up to the sponsors. So I then write back a scathing email about how I took a bank check,(this was a lie too, but hell they are lying to me so I didn't care) delivered the products and then found out it was a fake check. I told her that I could not believe the nerve of this person! That I worked two jobs, and that to have to deal with a scumbag lowlife piece of garbage stealing from me was too much, so now I only take cash. But since we both are in a position, I told her to give me the sponsors contact information and that we can meet at my bank and they can purchase the money order there and then my bank will deposit it right then. Needless to say I haven't heard back.

And the Name was under Mary Lewis. I also sale AVON

What are they getting out of this? I just started my venture with Avon and I am curious what is the deal? R they stealing customer info or credit card info somehow? Or is it the address info they r after I don't know but I told them I would place the order they can send the check to the hillsborough county sheriffs if they want

This is a scam. I got one of their emails. The way it works is they send you a payment check that is "accidently" an amount greater than what they owe. They ask for a refund for the over-payment. So you send them one of your checks, which is good, and the payment check they sent you bounces.Some people must get pulled in by this scam, or else they wouldn't do it.
