Wow...these telemarketers are crazy...SHE CALLED ME A LIAR!! How did I lie? I gave her my age and the types of credit cards that I had--and she must not be able to do math because once I said I wasn't interested she said she knew I was lying because based on the number of years that I said that had these cards (which is 6-9 years), I would have been underage when I go the cards...Uh, I was born in '82, that makes me 30 so if I have had these cards for 6-9 years, I got these cards when I was 21 or 24...how am I A LIAR?????!! Then, she hung up on me!! What the hell????!!
i got a call from 715-392-3507 last night....i answer...and i was told that i won 1000$ shoping spree....and i will recive a few magazines too...and that for 3-4 magazines i would pay 3.50$ a week....etc...the only info that they got was my age, job, and favorite credit card(not what i have).....so as long as u dont give info's like your cc# then u shouldn't wory....just with ur age(wich may be right or not) and ur job they cant do nothing....because they obviosly knew a lot about u when they called(name , adress, phone # ) so ur age ur job doesnt help them....they are just trying to make conversation at that point......look friendly...and they will stay friendly untill they get the ultimate info....ur CC #so make sure that u dont give them that info....and keep u safe :)good luck
no if they don't have the information they can't do anything its just a threat to make you go through with the purchase.call they're bluff.
I had the same call asx you.. He only asked me about my age, and that I will get something in the mail, and then he hung up-
I just had a call regarding the publisher, telling me that I won $1000 dollar gift card, I asked about the catch, then claimed no catch what so ever. They continued and then began to state that I will be receiving magazines in the mail (mens bestlife, handyman, popular science, TV guide, and one more I cant think of) then they drop the key word that I asked for. the catch. there was a processing fee of $3.95. This number is phony. Make sure my identity is safe.
I received a call from this number last night, but I missed it. Just about five minutes ago they called again and I answered... I had to say "hello" twice before the person on the other end answered me... It was a female operator asking for "Tom", I said she had the wrong number, and she wished me a good night... It's 5:28 p.m. here in Vegas... They might be calling from the east coast...
