This time the caller was from "Student Matching Services", cold-calling in violation of the National Do-Not-Call Registry. "Josylyn" asked some questions about my educational history and future plans (of course, my replies were all bogus...). She then promised to put me in contact with Colorado Technical University, McCann School of Business Technology and Central Penn Business School. In other words, these schools are employing SMS to drive sales leads to them - it gives a degree of separation to the schools, but still implicates them in violation of the NDNCR. When each school calls, I'll waste as much of their time as possible, then notify them of my pending BBB complaint against each for "Unethical Sales Practices" for using a third-party entity (SMS) to skirt the NDNCR.
