We again got a call from this number twice today at 6:27 pm and 6:43 pm, and again both calls were blocked by our call blocker. Please see my posts of 3 and 11 March 2017. These lowlife coprolites need to revise their robocalling software to eliminate numbers which block their calls.
STOP calling. I do not have any account with National Grid and do no even live in NY. I have called back 3 times now asking for my number to stop being called...only to receive another call the same day.
Doubt they're National Grid, they set up a fixed calling schedule and so far I have been receiving these calls at a certain time. Clearly told them to not call me again but obviously didn't work. A real creditable company wouldn't annoy their customer by calling them daily asking for certain information right? Well if they're really National Grid then shame on them !
Numerous message received since moved in Aug last year, never picked up since the number is "unknown" to me or no standing issue with National Grid though I do use their utility service. Female voice mail messages all the same but does NOT sound legitimate to me, "Hello, this is National Grid, calling on an important matter, please call 800-922-8201, select option 3 to ask speak to Mr. Fran Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, thank you and have a great day." I am a MA resident but was able to recognize 718 area code is from NY not MA!
There is a Massachusetts law that says meters must be switched out and replaced with tested meters, but those tested meters are not new meters. They're just swapping out used meters. You can find the statute on the Secretary of State website. Aren't they able to test a meter in place?
they call me every day, sometimes twice a day....been going on for about a year. I never answer...they always leave a recorded message to call national grid and ask to speak to a mr...who cares for an important announcement... I hope they're not holding their breath for my return call..
And this winter the water main in front of my house broke. NG was there and said my meter didn't leak any gas. But yet still NG leaves an important message each and every day on my answering machine.
This is national grid. It is the same number that called me in the past when my bill was overdue. That wasn't a scam; my bill really was overdue. But I still didn't pay it by phone, I simply paid it electronically the way I pay all my bills, once I had the money to do so.Currently, they are calling to schedule replacing my meter free of charge. This is because Mass state law requires the replacement every 7 years, even if the meter is fully functional. I converted from oil to gas seven years ago. Scam? No, not in my case. But I'm glad so many others are suspicious in general. That is a healthy skepticism. For me, it checks out in this case.
