Great idea,Ihate Spammers! Way back when I was first out on my own my father gave me a big whistle to blow into the phone when I was getting harassed by a 'heavy breather' constantly phoning my apartment-it stopped the calls!lol Fidelity called again this morning-I didn't answer this time,as it actually had the name Fidelity on the CID. I really wish they'd bug off!
Got two calls from them on two consecutive days, Caller id shows up as "King D". When I answered, there was nobody on the line, and I got hung up on. I called back the second time and complained. The clown who answered the call had a bad attitude, telling me that they were calling regarding Fidelity Proxy services, and when I asked them to stop calling me and hanging up on me, he acted like it was my fault -- " it is our automated system, and I've made a note of it". I asked "who is going to read that note". He says, "I don't know". I asked for his supervisor, who he refused to give me about 7 or 8 times, until he put me on hold. When he came back, he gave me his supervisor's name, but she refused to get on the phone. He kept saying that he could put me on the do-not-call list, but he wouldn't tell me what he was calling about other than Fidelity Proxy. He says company name is D.F. King & Co., Inc., a vendor working for Fidelity. I suppose I will call Fidelity and complain about this horrible vendor's customer relations.
I still get calls from this number almost every day, even after I blocked it. CID is always "Fidelity". Since it's a robo call it's probably a scammer with a cheap computer that can't sense when the number has been blocked.
If you hold funds with Fidelity, you'll continue to get this call until they get enough shareholder votes to make a quorum. You can go online and make your selections which should also make them stop.I had ignored all the calls I had been getting from this number, but answered once on accident through my car's bluetooth. The lady from D. F. King, on behalf of Fidelity was calling to remind me to make my selections for the shareholder vote. She told me that Fidelity has been sending mailings about it since November...and I'm bad at opening up mail, so I had ignored these as well. When I got home, I found my stack of Fidelity letters with the information about the vote, and it lets you know that they will call to remind you, and they can even get your vote over the phone. In the mailings, there's information about where to go online to read about the proposals being voted on, and you can cast your vote, and then they stop calling!
