Today is the second day in a row I've received a call from this number. There is not answer, just silence. Does anyone know what this sicko is up to?

My 88 yo father has been getting calls from (718) 621-1400 for about four weeks. When he answers there is no one on the other end. I was at his place once or twice when the number showed up on the CID - I answered and again, no one on the other end. There is never a message on his machine - this is very odd.I reverse looked up the number on Anywho and Whitepages - nothing was found.I came across this site and 800notes when I Googled the number. Appearantly these folks are very busy or very bored. Making calls and not holding a conversation must be a new form of prank call - you know sort of like calling a bar and asking if Mike Hunt is there" Sophomoric.Dad's phone number is on the Fed (never expires, updated 2007) and State (5 year expiration, updated 2007) DNC list, but non-profit and political orgs are exempt from the list.I recently baought a new Panasonic phone for him, but he isn't using it because it stands upright in the base. I happened to look at the manual for some reason and noticed that there was a block feature. Soooo, I saved the number as blocked. The phone rings once, reads the CID number and stops ringing. The caller gets a busy signal.No calls for about a week after blocking on the phone.Most phone companies also allow you to block all unknown calls (turn on -> *77 | turn off -> *87) I think - it might be the other way around. I'm not sure if you need to have caller id service or not for this to work - check your phone book, your phone company or the phone company website (look for star'*' functions). When you activate this everyone who blocks their information gets the message "This caller does not receive calls from unknown users" or something along those lines. Of course these folks aren't hiding their information, they just don't talk to you. Other people have noted that if you try to call them back - the number is reported as not in service.Good luck to all of us!

l went to a job interview over there and it's like they're no stores or anything in sight. l had my interview and they hired me to come for training. l was really happy and excited and they l realized why did they hire me so fast??? and how could it in this area.so l went to my computer look up the company and l see BBB doesn't have them then l go to the websites they do charity for it looks legit to me but it still don't know about this company l don't want to get arrested or hurt by anyone and l don't want people stealing my identify what makes it even more weird l see them posted the same ad on craigslist every day saying they have lots of positions what's going on here are they keeping the people who work there are the firing them or are these people not staying at the job or are they scare to stay.

Just received a call from this number for the second time. Nothing on the other end when I answered. On my caller ID it read Brooklyn NY, which is the way cell phone numbers are usually displayed - strange! Did a web search on the number and it came up with Ande Inc 6914 New Utrecht Ave Brooklyn, NY 11228. Now I am sure it is a scam of some sort.

These big silly willy billys called me today too! I am so angry I could just pop! It was 10:50 and I wanted to see the end of The View. And the phone rings. I thought it was Vera next door even though I told her never to call me until my girls are over. Well I said Mary what is it? Turned out it was somebody asking for my wife! Well Miss Lola Rose I told her sister have you got a wrong number I am gayer than a Christmas tree and they hung up on me! In that time I missed the closing thoughts on the View. I am so angry I could just burst!

You're awesome.Also, these guys suck balls. Almost called me 12 times now.
