What kind of collection agency uses a robo-caller and asks the debtor to call them? How many people are going to do this? None.

About 10 years ago, I started getting all kinds of debt collecting calls from some person named Sung Moon. I have the same initials but my name is completely different and I am NOT Sung Moon. I used to answer and tell them that they've got the wrong person, but I would keep getting calls from other collectors later so I stopped answering. Obviously this is a debt that is being sold over and over to different people. The calls finally stopped, but just now, I got this call. I guess this idiot company bought up a bunch of debt and is trying to collect again. Sorry, but I don't pay the debts of other people!

Have a live person call me not a recording sounds fishy.

Well, just got a message on my v/mail. I knew to check it out. SCAM! Maybe this kid from Brooklyn should pay them a visit next time I'm in Staten Island. I always handle things this way.

dirt bags. keep calling the same number robotically after 7-8PM. Total disregard for the law.

I have received a call about a debt, but what debt I'm not even in college yet... I think personally it's bs because I don't have any debt to owe...

Clearly a bogus, bot-driven scam. Any automated call that says, "This message is for x. If you aren't x, do not listen to this message. It contains personal information. There will be a pause [while you decide if you are "x"?]. This is an attempt to collect a debt. If you are x, you must listen to this message in private. There will be a four second pause before the message proceeds." I have absolutely no debts of any kind and, even if I did, I would not be taken in by this scam, but I want them to cease calling my number. Also, I am worried about the less sophisticated recipients of such calls who will be intimidated into returning the call, thus providing them with confirmation that they have reached a live and gullible contact. Apparently there is a branch of this company that may be legit, but these automated calls clearly, for all of these reasons, are not. I am reporting them to various entities, both governmental and private.

Received a bogus call from this number this morning. Called for a person who was not me, but I had a hard time recognizing the name they mentioned on the message. Said that if I didn't disconnect the call by hanging up, it could be assumed that I was the person they were calling who owed money and that they were calling to collect a debt and would use legal means to do so. I am not the person they said they were calling for and I don't owe any money. It was a totally fraudulent call.

Like others, I am over-annoyed with the robo calls. I have gone back to the financial office at the hospital they claim to be representing countless times, as these calls keep coming up again. My bills have been paid, and they can't figure out where they keep claiming to dig up outstanding debts!BTW, they have a BBB rating of "F". Wonder why? Not.

I too received a call here in Illinois looking for my daughter. I answered and they said it was regarding a financial matter with her. I told them I was her mother, what financial matter AND how did they get my number - she couldn't answer that! I told her it was a SCAM and I would contact MY STATE'S Attorney. She mumbled something and I SHOUTED IT IS A SCAM, YOU B____H! I hung up. Totally a SCAM!
