The FCC seems to be powerless to enforce the regulation against unwanted calls, and if things continue as they have been, we made need to opt out of phone service entirely unless the telephone companies are willing to provide protection from these nuisance calls.
Same thing happened with me. I pressed one and asked them to take me off the call list and the person hung up. When I called back it said Mike and mailbox is full.W9Y7

they keep calling me asking if i am or know sombody
"Greater Nevada Credit Union Fraud Prevention" called and left message. We called bank directly, no prob with our cards or account. Incidentally, we always get a bunch of scam calls after posting something to Craigs List or FB Market Place.

This number comes up as a match to my name on Microsoft search results, and with a different age than MY true age. There is no other ME who has the same first, middle and last name spelled like this that I EVER came across. It's definitely a scam!

I just tried to log into my SS account and could see that this number was trying to get a code to gain access. This country is OUTTA CONTROL. Hey Elmo is this you and your teen gang?
SCAM - Caller with Indian accent claimed to be calling from Barclays credit card fraud department. Asked for personal information. Just hang up.
