If you go to the natioal no call registry (N.N.C.R.) and register your phone number, then it will be illegal for most tellemarkters to call you, there are some exceptions which are stated on this website. Your state should also have a no call registry. The next time this number comes up, answer it and tell them your number is listed with the national no call registry and your state no call registry and ask them to remove your number from their list. This should solve the problem, if it does not then you can file a complaint with the N.N.C.R and your state N.C.R.
i just got another call from this number. these people have been calling me every weekday for the past two weeks. i never answer. the name on the caller id says "senior marketing." i graduated in may 2007 from a university in wisconsin.
got a call from this number this morning on a sprint phone. but it is not my personal phone, it's an "on-call" phone for the company i work for - so no recent graduation related to the #. Omaha, NE
Me too....few rings from this # and hangs up. No messages left. I never answer unknown numbers. I was once made to believe that phoney scammers can gain access to our line of we answer and use my number then for their dubious activities. So bottom line....DO NOT ANSWER IT!
Also a recent Tech grad. Got a couple calls a couple weeks ago, didn't answer. Picked it up today. Question was, "Do you have any federal student loans." When I said I didn't, the guy said there was some mistake, then, and they'd correct it. He seemed polite. There's a way scammers can gain control of your line, but not just by answering a call. You have to use a special code. Also, unlikely you'll find anything on your credit report. More likely the facebook comment is correct: I have another Tech friend who got the call a couple minutes after me. We both have our numbers on facebook. Likely a marketing group attempting to get recent college graduates to refi or something.
i have gotten several calls from this number as well. i am from nc but currently living in az and have nextel/sprint. when i try to call back, it immediately disconnects.
I've gotten calls from here many many times over the past 2 years. I believe that it is a Student Loan Consolidation service.
