If you wonder how these hackers, scammers and solictors get your number, pull up a chair and I will fill you in! My friend has the internet, home telephone and cable with Charter Communications. He NEVER used a home phone since he purchased his cell phone he has dropped any home phone service since 2005. When moving to a new home, Charter told him he will HAVE to have a home phone to "bundle" his phone, tv and internet for a better price. They all do this now. They know if they go up on one of the two other services you will get all three. Satellite companies that offer excellent prices for more channels do not have telephone and internet and these companies know it, so together they really hurt the satellite companies.Anyway, he got his home phone and has had it for over a year and never used it. It rings 2 and 3 times a day, he never even looks at it. One day last week it rang and he saw it was the police department soliciting for money. He talked with the officer, did not donate and then asked him, "How did you get my name and this unlisted number?"The officer told him, "We got your name and number from and telephone number broker!"Since my friend had a new, never published number, and never used the number on any bills or in ANY manner and yet they called and asked for him BY NAME! There is only one way they got that information. CHARTER SOLD them that information. So the next time these morons call your home just remember your local telphone or cable provider had something to do wit it AND your credit card company sells your name and number and on and on. The government is not going to do a damn thing about these aggravating calls!! NOTHING! If you put your number on that "do not call list" it will type out your number or store in a computer and then it will be sold to companies to aggravate the ever living s*** out of you! And just think, you pay good, hard earned money for that phone. Strange. My house and it's property is No Trespassing and legally inforced from someone solicting in our housing development, but the government cable and telephone companies allow them to come into your very home!

Insistent caller wanted to lower credit card interest rates. Wouldn't give company name. he wanted card numbers.

I don't know that this does any good. My calls were from Rachel at Credit Card Services. If you ask to be taken off the call list, they hang up. My Missouri Attorney General says these calls originate from Discover Card. I wrote them today and demanded to be taken off their list. Their address is Customer Service - General InquiriesDiscover Financial ServicesP.O. Box 3023New Albany, OH 43054-3023Also report them to both the national and your state do not call list. Someone, someplace might listen long enough to stop this waste of time.

The person I spoke with was a smart allick. I informed him (he had a very femine sounding voice) that I was registered on the governments do-not-call list. He said "what's that?" I said since he was being a smart allick I wanted to speak to his supervisor and did not make any attempts to put anyone else on the line. I told him I could look up the phone number and he said good luck. I want people to know not to answer their phone if 1-727-674-9999 calls their phone and to not do business with this company. The phone number is located out of Clearwater, Florida.

Credit card services again. Oh when will they ever learn. Hope they liked the musical number I played for them on the keypad. since they like to call and waste my time I have no issue wasting theirs. Next call gets them an air horn.

The do not call list is a "PLACEBO"! There is never anything done to these criminals!

They don't take you off their call list. When you ask them, they hang up. Sometimes they use foul language at you. Then they hang up!

I, also, am sick and tired of getting these calls---I decided to tell these people I am so glad they called---this gives me a chanced to talk to them about MY JESUS. AND HOW HW DIED ON THE CROSS FOR US--------ALL WE NEED TO DO IS ASK HE TO FORGIVE OUR SINS AND HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.I then tell them that each time they call my number that I will again tell them about my Jesus.If you don't want to hear this then take my number from your calling list!!!!!!
