Just got a call from this number, picked up and couldn't hear anything. I hung up 5 seconds later.

For me it was Connecticut Light & Power with an automated voice message telling me the power to my house has been restored. It wasn't off in the first place. I also found it strange that it is a New Jersey number.

Xpedite Systems Inc calling on behalf of CL&P (CT Light + Power) stating they are calling to confirm that power has been restored. If the power had not been restored, they were advising customers to call CL+P directly.

I got the same message,but with these phone scams you have to be careful anyway.

Called our office at 7:02 and 7:29 last night. Caller ID said Eatontown NJ and listed the phone #. Recording was in Spanish and I *think* it had to do with either the power company or mosquito spraying in Dallas.

Ever since SIGNING A CONTRACT and then LEGALLY CANCELLING IT with INTERNATIONAL SCAM Company **INTERLOCK ROOFING", I have been INUNDATED with SPAM PHONE CALLS.Have gone from 1 to 2 daily to 6-10, including BOTH my landlines (home and home business) AND THREE CELL PHONES.*****CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE*****: "INTERLOCK 'LIFETIME' ROOFING (But try to find them when you want to USE their 'warranty'!)

HIGHLY DOUBT is was "Dell". IT was a SCAM ARTIST POSING as being "from" Dell. THESE ARE **CRIMINALS** trying to PHISH for CREDIT CARD NUMBERS and BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION (not to mention personal information for ID THEFT.)DO NOT ENGAGE with these people!! If you DO you are a SUCKER!!!!! And THAT only makes them call the REST of us even MORE!

Caller ID said "XPEDITE SYS INC". I Picked up/Hung Up w/o answering to break the call.SCUM SUCKING BOTTOM FEEDING CRIMINAL PHISHING SCAMMERS.THIRD SPAM CALL TODAY; all different numbers/ruses.CALL TYPE: PHISHING SCAM/CRIMINAL THEFT ATTEMPT

HOW do you KNOW *WHOM* you are dealing with OVER THE PHONE???? Do you think you can "trust" the Caller ID? Do you NOT KNOW about SPOOFED Names and Numbers??? Would you AGREE to something and then GIVE your PERSONAL INFORMATION out to a UNIDENTIFIED, UNCONFIRMABLE STRANGER over the PHONE????YES, its a "JUNK CALL" a SPAMMER, **PHISHING SCAMMER**.There are similar calls for "Extended vehicle warranties", "Appliance warranties" "Roof Warranties", ETC.ALL TAKE YOUR MONEY and then you never hear from them again. There are so many "Exclusions" and other HOLES in these so called 'warranties' THAT YOU WILL NEVER COLLECT. COMPLAINTS ALL OVER the Web about them.AND, you risk IDENTITY THEFT, as well, Meaning they call STEAL EVERYTHING you've Got in the BANK and HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of DOLLARS in Future Credit, AS WELL.WAKE UP. TELEMARKETING is essentially ILLEGAL now. ANYONE who COLD CALLS you is PROBABLY A CRIMINAL.

This is a scam, plain and simple. Doesn't matter who they claim to be, it is a scam to get money or info from you. Ignore them.
