Called from that number. Didn't answer; no message left. Clearly a spam call based on the number of people who have been called.
They called several times, I never answer these, but I finally did because it said Livonia, MI. The person on the other line said he was from DTE. And knew we had recieved recent service as well as an energy saving kit. Because I had recently had service and the guy came our first thing and I was impressed by their service, when this caller asked if I would just take a quick survey I thought I'd be nice and do it for the excellent service I had received. The caller told me the survey would be recorded and then all of a sudden he said something about reaching their quota and hung up on me.I found it very suspicious especially since so few people are willing to take surveys, and it was an abrupt end.Decided to look it up and this is what I find.Just wanted to take the time to tell anyone else so they didn't fall into the same thing.
I have been getting calls from this number and they leave a voice mail claiming to be from "market strategies". When you call them back to try and get off their list, all you get is a pre-recorded message stating some nonsense about them being a survey company and in no way are they related to any sales or what-not. You can never get through to talk to a real person, and when you press "1" to speak to an operator, all you get is the same pre-recorded message, then it automatically hangs up on you. They did give a website to go to and there is a place to put your number on the do not contact list, however the registration wants to act up and not take your email information. I was finally able to get it to take my number on the do not contact, but I have yet to see if it worked. They give you the option to press a code "if you know your parties extension", but no matter what number you put in, they say "that code is incorrect". Hopefully someone else can get on their website and get it to accept the "do not call" with their number. The website is marketstrategies.com. Hope this helps in some way.
Called at 11:20 this morning. Very fast-speaking woman came on and introduced herself and said that she was working for a company that was assisting Vectren. Wanted to speak with the person in charge of making informed decisions about saving on energy costs. Asked her if I could take a message, and was told that it was not necessary, and asked for a time to call back. Told her to call back later, when no one will be here. She quickly hung up.
