Well, I got two calls from this number today, 2x while I was sleeping, glad the phone was on "silent." Didn't call back, and got another call from the same number around 4 pm. Was recently the victim of a scam, and am therefore quite apprehensive to picking up unknown numbers or unknown calls. Picked up and said "Hello." Nothing. So, merely said "What the F*** is wrong with you weirdos? You call people and say nothing? Get a life!" LOL! Funny. And just called back now because I had the time to do so, and got that whole "You've reached the (don't know what this broad said) call center, if you'd like to be removed from our call list, blah blah blah," and then it went to a "full mailbox." Fools. I'd really wish people would stop harassing others and bothering people by calling them multiple times. And the whole "you've just won" whatever is really sick. Such a shame to know that people are making $ off of misleading people with false hopes. Some people are really gullible and trusting enough to fall for this stuff, and may actually send out money. So a word to all -- if you get a call and someone tells you you've won something, ask for it to be sent in writing. The scam I almost fell victim to involved receiving a REAL check and a letter stating that I had won a large sum of money. However, I was asked to send a certain amount via Western Union to "cover applicable taxes." It's sick. Get real jobs and lives. Seriously! They may not be robbing banks, but they're just as low as street-wandering criminals.
I've received several calls from this number over the last few days. I didn't answer them because I didn't recognize it.
I have been getting calls from this number for 3 days now. I believe I answered it once and they asked for Quinton and I don't know any Quinton and they hung up. I just recieved another call from them and they never leave a message and so I googled it. Who the hell are these people? I think I need to block the number but once again, how did they get my number?!?!
they called and i missed the call. i called back to get their message that their inbox was full. they called back, i answered, but i lost reception shortly after she started talking.
Yeah I just got a call from them and I played it out to see what goes on they are going to send you three free Magazines for 60 months and then you have to pay for two others for 60 months at 2.99 ain't that just funny ain't no magazine company going to want to do that. Oh yeah I have been put in a drawing for a million dallors by credit card company. and I also have free motel tickes 5 star. can you believe that ha ha ha ha ha and then they wanted my credit card number I told her that I didn't have it and she got kind of mad. oh yeah and they ask me if I was married, single, year born, and what credit card it was. they also said that visa and master card entered me in the contest I DON'T EVEN HAVE A MASTER CARDDON'T DO THIS THEY KNOW WAY TOO MUCH
There's actually a national "do not call registry" that you can put your name on. If this is in fact a telemarketer, then they won't get your number and harass you. Be very wary of disclosing your cell phone to anyone who you feel shouldn't have it, i.e. online sweepstakes, and such. They will sell these numbers to companies who they may not have even done background research on, and therefore could be passing your personal contact info. to scammers. The number for the national "do not call registry" can be found at the website www.donotcall.govThe .gov ending in the site indicates that this domain was created by a government office. They'll guide you through a process to remove your number! You can enter up to 3 numbers, and there are even instructions available in Spanish. Enjoy the summer, everyone!Liz :)
They would have enough with the CC number if you had ordered something. Could be using your CC and the VCC number to order things for their own, and then you'd get stuck with the bill! Keep those numbers to yourself, and don't give ANYONE your information! I'd urge everyone to put a fraud alert on their SS# as well. This way, absolutely no one can register anything with your SS#, unless verified by you first. -Liz
