Got a call on my cell phone from 1-780-947-8989 at 4:11pm on Sept. 8th, 2010. No message and my number is also on the do not call list.
Got a call from this number last night on one phone and today on another phone....what are the chances. Did not answer, and they did not leave a message.
Got a call last night, missed answering on first couple of rings, when I answered, line was dead, called the number and got a recording number out of serviceI believe marketing operations are buying big blocks of phone numbers and have people call them, happens to me about every month or so, damn annoying, just as another person pointed out, it may be an emergency call, and it costs us money answering a damn call or phoning back
My wife got a call from this number on her cell last night about being a good Air Canada customer, and hung up. Today I got a call during lunch on my cell and didn't answer, no message on my voice mail. SCAM!

got call that said I won 100000 airmiles , please hold on. Live person came on ,said I had won a vacation to Cancun ,asked if I had credit card, he said please wait because he had to go off line to get some other info. Long hold with crappy elevator music then phone went dead . I tried a call to 780 947 8989 recording said number out of service ?????? Must be scammers . No ?
