Talk about cutting your nose on dispite your face. Your stupid to.
IT IS A SCAM!they give you every reason to believe they are your 'standard' energy company (In my case Orange & Rockland) and no indication that they are really "US GAS & ELECTRIC"company called and said "we are the cusomer service center for the O&R (Orange & Rockland) "discount program" we want to explain about the "extra charges on your bill" and how you are "entitled" to a 10% - 12% discount.at no point in time did they indicate that this a a 3rd party supplier. - I repeated asked are you"orange & rockland" they repeatedly replied "we are the service center for the Orange & Rockland discount program" and we verify eligibilty. They even tell you that the 'federal government' guarantees that you are entitiled .... blah, blah, some of the conversation even sounds as if they are some sort of mandated intermediary betweenO&R and the federal government (retained by O&R) to verify eligiblity for the special "plan" and that we would continue to get gas & electric from O&R, etc.basically VERY, VERY, DECEPTIVE TALK. - Call turned into several red flags - 1) they asked me if this was a residential or comercial account and 2) they asked me what my account number was. - I was thinking that they should have been provided that to begin with if thye were legit.all those who responded positively are going to be in for a BIG SURPRISE.I had once switched to a 3rd party provider (a very well known, one of the largest ones). -initially, maybe a few months, I checked the 'rate' per cubic foot of gas & it was cheaper.*** BUT **** - big *** BUT *** - 2 yrs later i chcked again. - consistentaly it was a whopping 33% to 45% highier then O&R rates, = they had been doing this to me for YEARS and I didn't bother to check to see if the so called *DISCOUNT* was true or not.Good luck if you actually switched providers - YOU WILL NEED IT (but, I can almost guarantee even the good luck will not help)
This is most certainly a scam. A very sweet lady with an accent (I think it was British but may have been Aussie) named Nancy called on behalf of "NYSEG Solutions", giving me her extension of 1940. When she first called, I asked her what the number she was calling from was and she said that the number on the caller ID (which I don't have) was incorrect, that her number is the 210-9011. Though she was very polite, she was very difficult to understand. I'm wondering if these people KNOW they're part of a scam sometimes... However, the other day, I had a guy call and as soon as he said he was calling on behalf of NYSEG Solutions, I asked him what the number was that he was calling from and he went silent then hung up on me!!!!
HORRIBLE !!!BEWARE OF JOHN at X 5637HE ARGUES, IS RUDE, AND DEMANDS TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER, CLAIMING HE IS FROM NATIONAL GRID.
.... WHEN I TOLD JOHN TO TAKE US OFF OF HIS LIST AND HUNG UP HE CALLED RIGHT BACK AND SAID I HUNG UP ON HIM! OF COURSE I DID! GET A REAL JOB, LOSER.
Several calls from 800-210-9011, 888-651-3385, in South Carolina. I live in PA. They claimed to have a rebate for me but needed me to call before my next meter reading. I called PECO (PA electric) who said they have no such rebate and if they did it would appear on our bill.So--some kind of scam.
i got 3 calls from american power & gas in 2 days, maybe they could help me with my gas bill if i had gas. after the firstcall i ask to be removed, i don't understand why people lie when they will obviously be caught in that lie. i wouldnever deal with a company so stupid or ones who brake the law.
The sales rep was so intent on getting past the so called 'gatekeeper' without providing any information or identification (i.e. name, company's name...etc...) that it became a waste of their time and mine. Just answer our questions please and the information will be promptly dispatched to the party who is responsible (and who obviously did not even want them leaving their sales pitch in their voice mail). Our company believes in honest, short, and sweet.Thank you,
Repeatedly calls our business saying we enrolled for a program with them, we did not and we have asked them to stop calling multiple times. We tried to explain that we have not signed up for their services and we do not want what they are selling but they refuse to listen and speak over us and even attempt to argue with us to reach the owner, who refuses to speak to them. We have had multiple people from this company call us and each one was extremely rude. They tried to tell us that if we look at our Duquesne Light bill they are mentioned on there and we have a rebate. I even called Duquesne Light and gave them the information and they said to refuse to speak to these people they are a scam. The callers from this number have now somehow obtained the owner's cell phone number, so they say. They will keep calling every couple of months and again try to get to the owner without saying who they are or who they work for. All they will say is APG and refuse to describe the business or give any other information other than "they need to speak to the owner". The last person I spoke to was Claire and she gave me the phone number of 1-800-210-9011 ext: 4847 for him to call back. Not going to happen.
