I received a call stating someone has requested opening a new Florida Power & Light Account at a different address and if I do not return this call, the services for my current address will be closed automatically, and FPL Services will be establish at the new address.
It's FPL calling with power outage updates.
It's FP&L, the same number I've used to pay my bill by phone for over 7 years. Not sure why they would call me. I pay on time every month. A lot of these posting on here are several years old, I don't think it's a scam, but I'll update when their office is opened tomorrow morning.
the number is an FPL number, however it may not be FPL calling. they left a message, "a courtesy call before shutting our service (we were not past due). to make a payment call 855-652-0597". this is NOT FPL. report the call to FPL. they are spoofing their number.
Got a call from this number claiming to be FPL and calling about unpaid charges. I told them the person they needed wasn't here. The call back number they gave me was 888-480-7634. When I googled this number, it's not a real FPL number.
This is a scam call!!!! Not FPL! They call saying they were coming to disconnect your power in 45 minutes and tell you to call another 800 number and pay some amount to avoid it. Do not engage!
Scam caller. States that he is a FPL tech that is about to turn off your power due to non-payment. Never pay FPL to anyone except at the phone number on your bill or at an authorized FPL station or Western Union agent.
I received a call from this number identifying themselves as the electric company and not FPL. They said the account was overdue by a few months and they were going to cut off service. I told them this was impossible as I have automatic payment set up. The person then hung up. I immediately called FPL as the call seemed fraudulent. They told me the account was fine and there were some ongoing scams. Be careful whenever giving any personal information over the phone.
Just got this call but it had no name on the caller ID. This is definitely FPL. I am moving to Florida in 1 month. 2 days ago I placed an order for service to begin at my new address. This was an automated call confirming the service location and start date.
It sounds like some scammers are spoofing the number as well. My call was legit though.

This number calls me twice a month, like clockwork, and disconnects after about two rings. This sounds like some robocall scam.

Saying postal redelivery unit when called. What?
I didn't accept the call and they did not leave any voice message
I answered this one out of curiosity as I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. Another annoying robocall. This time claiming to be calling from Medicare.
Would give it zero stars if I could.
Because I didn't know who the caller was, I sent it to voicemail. The caller did not leave a message and hung up. I assumed it was another robo call and when I checked this site my assumption was confirmed.
said dish was updating receivers and needed for us to turn on dish for 2 minutes to do updates. told them to call back tomorrow.
