Called saying that someone needed to call her back, to resolve a financial problem. The ext. 5104, for Nicole Freeman. We get these calls sometimes for his ex wife.
received a call. No info left except they have a message on their desk and call back ext 122. The message was left by a woman. A man answered.I told him I had been reading this page. I asked him to put me on the do not call list or I would report them to the FTC.He asked me for my number so he could look up why they are calling. I gave it to him. He mentioned the name that my number is listed under.(I list my number under an alias last name, don't want to pay for unlisted number. Let's me know where a junk phonecall got my number). I told the man that nobody has that number and that they obviously used a phone book of online to get the number. He said he would remove the number from their records. We will see.
Got the message asking me to call back about an important business matter. When I called back, they were looking for a Dwayne Hunter, who isn't me and I've never heard of. They said they would take me off their list, so we'll see. Overall, the problem is how fast Verizon recycles numbers. Deadbeats stop paying their phone bills and then you start to get phone calls about the debts they mounted up beforehand. Of course, places like OSI and other's are leaches on society too.
the fictious nicole freeman wants to help me with an important business matter...7 years ago when i moved to this area bellsouth gave me number that belonged to 2 deadbeats - james lichleiter and debra johnson today a new one bradford jonson. collection agencies have been harrassing me for 7 years looking for these deadbeats. for awhile my answering machine message said "no d jonson, no james lichtleiter at this number" it didn't help because the messages left are automated. if i do not call them back they continue to harrass me, when i do call them back, they think i am / or am hiding these people!! i once got a message using JEWELRY and EMERGENCY in the same sentence!! bellsouth offered me a new number... no thanks...the devil i don't know. if i ever run into this james person i'm going to punch square in the face. his number is unlisted..go figure. and the real kick in the teeth....i have no debt!!!! i have put myself on the do not call list, i hope it helps cause i've had it. although since i've read the complaints about OSI collections i have to wonder...are they really deadbeats?
Recording from Nicole Freeman ext 5104 saying to call back for an "urgent business matter." Since the call came to a private business line that is unpublished, I new it was a mistake. Called back to report mistake, held for 15 minutes then hung up.
I got a message from the same pre-recorded voice asking me to call regarding an important business matter as well. I called back, thinking the message was trying to sell me something or some other BS of the sort, and was apprehensive to give out any information, but was only greeted with extreme rudeness. Thankfully I held out because I actually did owe a company (Long Island Power Authority), however I wanted to hang up. The conversation went something like this (not verbatim, but to the best of my knowledge):Girl: Hello, can I help you?Me: Hi, someone from this number called and left me a message, can I ask what company this is?Girl: Whats your phone number?Me: Before I give out any of my information I'd like to know who I'm speaking with.Girl: I need your phone number.Me: I'm not going to give you my phone number until you tell me what company this is.Girl: I can't tell you anything without your phone number.Me: Listen, you called MY phone, and I demand to know what company you are calling me from.Girl: Well you can just hang up.Me: Excuse me?Girl: With that attitude, you can just hang up.Me: Listen, there's no need to be rude here, how would you feel if I called you at home and repeatedly asked you for you personal information without telling you who I am? Now, tell me who YOU are or this conversation is over. From my tone, she may've realized how mad I actually was because she told me then FINALLY told me that she was calling from a collection agency but couldn't give me details without looking me up in her computer by my phone number. Luckily I kept a cool head or I'd still be in debt, but this company's employees deserve to be strangled.
Boiler room operation currently under investigation by Colorado Atty General's office out of Denver Colorado, pure SCAM come on!!!!!
kept getting calls from this number stating I owed them money from Verizon from over 10 years ago. I told them I never had a Verizon phone and that they should stop calling my phone. They were rude and nasty. I now no longer answer their calls and have sent a letter to the company regarding their business practices and the treatment given by their workers.
