Wells Fargo bought out Wachovia bank earlier this year, that is why you keep getting calls from Wells Fargo.

Have been receiving phone calls but not answering because 800 #. Just checked here and the # is from Wells Fargo who just financed my car. Finally answered and person on other end was just helping set up and verify my acct. He asked only for last 4 digits of SS# which should be safe to give out. If anyone is asking for all of SS# don't give that info. I also had to option of opting out of mailings, phone calls and e-mails because I asked so I am glad I answered this time. I did suggest to him to suggest to management to the IT department set up to have their computer generated calls leave a message so that consumers know who is calling. Rep was not rude so if they are just ask for a supervisor. You need to be proactive about these things instead of whining and complaining.

11/28/10FYI.. my husband wasn't working for about a year.. we were really overdue on a LOT of bills. Wells Fargo (original loan w/Wachovia) was HARASSING us via telephone morning, noon and night. We'd make a pymt and it wasn't enough. Finally, I became really pissed and looked up WFS online.. I found a copy of their own inhouse rules and SOP - harassment, calls at all hours were NOT part of their venue! I wrote a long letter explaining our situation, adding in names and phone numbers AND, I attached copies of their own SOP online.I had spoken to ONLY one nice employee and I had her fax number. One night I faxed these same letter and SOP's (rules of their company and employees) a dozen times, straight. Then I looked up every WFS HQ in the U.S., made copies of the paperwork that I had faxed and sent them to all the offices I could. Two weeks later, their Office of the President called (brown noser) and got me in touch w/one local person here in Denver. Ended up that HE STATED (without asking me), that only their offices and this one local gal were 'allowed' to call. Well, after making four back to backpayments, including late fees (which, by the way, added almost $800 MORE onto the loan!!!!) they're calling again b/c we're three weeks late! They are making me pay via wire ($$$$$) and, WTF is the point ? What HELP is all this???????????? Pissed.. MY credit union locally just calls once a month to see IF and HOW MUCH I AM ABLE to pay.. if I can't, they're perfectly fine. No threats, no late charges !! F-CK Wells Fargo.. my mom liked them a lot when I was growing up in Calif, but I sure think they're cold hearted [***]!!

I checked with my local Wells Fargo bank. The number is legit. The caller is Wells Fargo Dealer Services. I just bought a car. The first time they called they did not leave a message. The second time they called I was rude to the lady (I now feel like an [***] since I found out that they are real and not a scam caller.) The third time they called I told them that I do not give information out over the phone. They have stopped calling. What is real annoying is that they want to verify some information over the phone. A) I am a long time Well Fargo bank member. These guys should already know everything there is to know about me. Why they can't find this info within their own company is astounding. B) Who in this day and age is going to give info over the phone to someone that calls up and claims to be a bank? Wells Fargo needs to re-think and clean up their internal proccesses.(I hope this helps)

Well Maxx... then you should tell your other co-workers and bosses to start sending paper work first, and give us spoiled people to CALL you, and stop HARASSING people.. or is that little to much for you and your co-workers to handle... or maybe we should start harassing the BBB on you and your comany????
