I received 2 calls from this number today and a voicemail stating that they were calling from Chase and my card had been used fraudently. I called Chase and they said they did call me and that my account was fine. Block caller!
This number is definitely authentic, it is not a scam. I first got a text notification from the number informing of possible fraudulent activities on my account. I immediately called the customer service number on the back of my Chase debit card, and sure enough, someone had indeed attempted to use my debit card several times. Do not ignore this text. If in doubt, contact Chase CS directly for verification.
This is, indeed, Chase Bank fraud prevention calling to verify a transaction on your Chase credit/debit card.
We received a call from this number which stated they were from Chase Credit card fraud division. This was a computerized voice with the name dubbed in after the fact. It was for my son. They had his first name and middle initial which he doesn't even use on his bank card. He called used the 800 number on the back of his card to call Chase. They said there was no hold on his card and that was NOT their fraud department that called. When ever I have had a fraud alert from Chase they send me a Text message. They have called my husband by phone but is its not a computerized voice it is an actual person.
2 voice mails and a text, stating that I had fraudulent charges.Called the number on the back of my card. Went through the whole ordeal with Chase, card number, soc number, etc. The info that the official Chase number stated matched with that the voice mails and text said. It WAS fraudulent charges on my card, for about $1000 out of Houston (Hurricane Harvey scammers). I more than likely got skimmed at a gas station during the gas shortage west of Houston and was a fool and used it as a debit instead of credit (lesson learned). But a legit Chase fraud call. Just made sure to call the number on the back of my card. Waiting on new card now to arrive via ups or fedex
I received a phone call on both my home and cell phone, as well as a text message and an email saying I had fraudulent activity on my card. Like most, I called chase directly using the number on the back of my card and indeed, there were fraudulent charges reported. This is a chase number. Some of these people on here have the mental capacity of a 2 year old. The number YOU contact is almost never the same number an institution will CONTACT YOU with. That being said, if you are ever in doubt, call chase using the number on the back of your card or visit your nearest branch for piece of mind. It is very possible scammers use a multitude of numbers and methods to pose as financial institutions. There are some tin hat wearers lurking on these websites that believe any single number is fraudulent and are spamming their useless information everywhere.
This number just called my brothers phone talking about my card and said that it had some consoling service transactions on my cards. so he asked for my address and than he transferred me to the chase fraud company when I told them some money that was supposedly taken away from my account, they said that their was no money was taken away from my account and they said the person that i was talking to was NOT AUTHORIZED. So I Look on my account an no money was taken from my account that was unaware of. Putting these two together the person that called my brother's phone wanted to purchase something OFF MY CARD, but the bank was not letting them to so they tried to contact me so that what ever they purchase can get through. If these people contact you try to call them back and record what they are saying and report it to the police. Be safe guys!!
