Called twice consecutively, left no message.

Message just came through: "Chase fraud number"... Thank you all for your input.

Found the voice mail a few hours after the call. The message said Chase anti-fraud. They had the last 4 digits of my card correct. I googled to find reports it was a probable phishing scammer. I called Chase at their known phone banking number I've used before [back of the card]. They really did have a hold on my account from a transaction. 800 307 3161 is not Chase's normal anti fraud number: They said the normal anti-fraud line is 800 978 8664, but they didn't confirm 3161 was fake.So either there was some strange phone routing at Chase and it was a real call, or a phishing scammer coincidentally called at the right time. I don't know which. If you get one like this, I suggest call Chase back at a real number you know, maybe there is a hold and the phisher had inside info.

I woke on a text in the middle of the night. I don't feel right about the text and I Google the number. It's a scam.

This was a legitimate fraud check for me from Chase. I started getting the calls after I traveled and had a large out of state purchase. Now when I have a charge online, large amount or out of state I get a phone call from that number and then an immediate text message asking me to verify the charge with a 1 for YES or 2 for NO. No other information is asked for just to confirm if I made the purchase

Got a text message from Chase (I have no Chase accounts/cards) about this "Fraud Alert"and got a two telephone calls from 800-307-3161 (that I rejected) with no message left.

Got a text and call from the above yesterday.My card did have a fraudulent charge on it.Found this site today which got me worried, so I called Chase to double check and they confirmed that this *is* a phone number for their fraud prevention department.

I got a call from this number around the same time as a text from someone claiming to be From Chase Bank fraud department and they had detailed information of a recent transaction. I called the number on my debit card and at first was told that I was not contacted by Chase but after further inquiry it turned out to be a legitimate notification.

Received three calls from 800-307-3161 and a text alert for suspicious activity. Voice was electronic and stated call was in regard to Chase Bank debit card transaction. The text alert said the Chase debit card was used to purchase from a direct marketing company. The 800 number appears legitimate.
