Received call stating it was Chase Bank Debit Card Fraud department and to contact them regarding possible fraud on bank card. When I called the number it was a scam. What is interesting is that Chase Bank verifies that you call their bank and yet they say the 307-3161 number is not theirs so how is this number being connected to Chase Bank's phone system?
Caller asked for my online account password, refused to give any information, and hung up when I told them I was changing my account password when I talked to the "supervisor" and they refused to help about supposed fraud. Also received phishing email. with same information and same 800-307-3161 number. Person had foreign accent.
Received text from this number saying my card was used to purchase gasoline in Florida. When I called this number I was told to verify my name and then put on hold. After a few minutes the recording said there was no customer rep to attend my call and hung up. I then realized the number was used to verify my info and use further my account. I called the number in the back of my card and the real Chase rep helped to stop the unauthorized payment. DO NOT FALL FOR THE SCAM, DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!
This number calls and claims to be from Chase Bank. They say that we have a credit card ending in xxxx that has been used in suspicious activity. We don't have a Chase card ending the numbers they gave. When we call they ask for verification info. Is that similar to your issue??
I had the same thing. The name didn't match, but they said that my debit card ending in xxxx had a notice for fraud on it. Double checked with Chase's actual fraud prevention center, and this number doesn't match any of Chase's fraud numbers. Sounds like a phishing call.
THIS NUMBER IS A SCAM!!! They sent me a text from "chase's fraud department" and everything looks 100% legitimate, yet the number they had was for an old card. I did "verify" information which did not "match what was in their system". When i got to work i called the Chase number on the back of my card and they transferred me to the real fraud prevention, they also said the number that called me is NOT a chase number.

I live in Michigan, got a call and text from this number saying to shelter in place. Said there is an active incident and don’t answer doors unless it’s law enforcement officer. Said we’d receive another message when issue resolved.
left voice mail with 2 phone numbers on was 240-374-4607 and the other 877 (garbled)

From the QUITLINE - can be any state - PA for me - I followed their program to quit smoking and this was a follow up survey - NOT SPAM - The service was helpful and the survey harmless.
Got 2 calls from this number stating that it is a colect call from an inmate. We don' t know anyone who is an inmate anywhere.

My calls were being forwarded to this number and I have no idea how it happened.
They hung up. In the last ten days I've had unauthorized credit card charges and an identity theft related to a Medicare fraud case. I suspect this is related.

Medicredit I believe possibly is scam/fraud calls involving medical insurance, medicare. Courts WILL decide !!
