government offices close at 430 its 7 pm theyve called 3 times since 6

They called on a Saturday. Is that normal? Never applied before but now thanks to obama, I HAVE to by law and I can't afford insurance.

It would be nice if these people would identify themselves as something other than Dept of family services and won't even tell me what they are calling about until I give them my SS# and date of birth. I mean I said hello She says "Dept of family services can I have your SS# and date of birth". No hello, no my name is. I mentioned we had a bad connection because I could barely hear her so I had her repeat what she said and asked her what this was about which she wouldn't tell me.I told them no I am not giving them my SS# and she asked do you understand what this call is about and I said no and so she hung up. How am I supposed to understand what it is about which she tells me she won't do until after I give her my SS# ? But hey it's the government, I'd fire them all if I could and hire intelligent people not people who can just follow a list. Of course when you call back you get an automated service with no way to contact anyone and you can sit on hold for over an hour. And I am sure the solution to this type of poor service is the government needs more tax dollars.

This is what gets me about this number. After reading all of the entrees here about it being the Indiana FSSA, and after they called my house twice after 6:00 pm. I answered the phone the second time. After answering the phone, going through the Indiana FSSA procedures in a recording (but not giving out any personal information), we get a recording that says, We are now closed.So whats the deal? They just have recordings going on 24/7 to get a hold of people?

It is the FSSA! They called me twice but did not leave a message on my cell phone then they called on my home phone. I was leery of the call but picked it up after looking it up here on this site. They called to tell me my sister's Medicaid benefits had been terminated in error and were now back in place. We can know go back to having caregivers daily and I can begin again to schedule doctors appointments for her. GOOD NEWS.

They asked for a particular person of whom I had never heard of before. I told her that I don't know that person or anyone with that name for that matter. She said okay and that was the end of the conversation.
