Caller ID 703-317-3700 is the number for Pentagon Federal Credit Union's Delinquent Payment Control department. It can be automatic message informing you to call 800-247-5626, which is PFCU's Member Service number.I got a call and call PFCU and they said they had no reason to call me so I immediately thought it was a scam (and this is happening to banks). But wait, there's more! I called the above 703 number and the person asked if I was joint owner on any accounts. Yes, my wife has a credit card for online transactions (don't ask why) that she --always-- forgets to pay. It does not show up on my account, but since we have the same phone number, we (she) got a call. No scam, just her forgetfulness.

Also recvd a call from 800-451-7269 claiming they are from pentagon Credit Union. Called the "member services" number but they never heard or have any notes on this phone call

I also got a call from this number and it is legit - I have an account with PFCU and I was late on my payment.

Definitely a FRAUD. Do not call or respond to 800-451-7269. The staff at PFCU will verify that this is a SCAM. Be careful!

I got a call from them too and its legit. I called back the main number and they confirmed its their number and transferred me over to the correct department.

got a vm left on my wk # from this number, called bk, lady was rude, asked for my ss# or member#, gave ss#, she put me on hold, came bk on sd this was a mistake and sd I was not delinquent, rude again and hung up. Called the cust serv # on penfed website and verified I was not delinquent and they sd this # is their coll number and valid.

Called my house and my cell at dinner time. I did not answer and there were no messages. I read the above and we do have a car loan through PenFed, but the payments were never late. I just checked our account online and they processed the last payment a week before it was due. They or collections have no reason to be calling me at dinner time.
