The Bureau of Collection Recovery is in Eden Prairie, MN, the destination if you fill out the card. There's just nothing in Oaks, PA that I know of. It's the sticks.

There are people who keep calling me from 800-851-9361 who will not answer me when I ask what type of business they are but will keep cutting me off and try to get the last 4 of my social. When I ask why it's needed they will not answer but say they cannot give me information unless I can verify the last 4 of my social.

I have been getting calls from this same 800 number and what I have been doing is letting my FAX machine answer. Let them deal with the FAX screeching!

My 65 year old mother-in-law received a collections letter from Debt Recovery Solutions (DRS), demanding payment of $451 for an outstanding Verizon bill FROM 5 YEARS AGO for a phone number registered in Buffalo NY under her name. Meanwhile, she's lived in Queens NY her entire life. She now feared her identity had been stolen. She called 800 228-7110 for an explanation. But the rep would not answer any questions and just kept insisting she pay the debt immediately as she was being marked an additional 30 days delinquent. When she explained she never lived in Buffalo much less opened a Verizon account there, the rep said she will need to prove it by sending DRS an affidavit and copies of her tax returns, utility bills, pay-stub, the last 4 digits of her social security, and other material as proof of her residency 5 YEARS AGO!!! Are they insane?!!! Thankfully she just told my husband and I what was going on and we immediately advised her to go to the police. The detective instructed her not to send these people ANY information WHATSOEVER, nor to speak to them ever again as it sounds like it could be a scam. The detective asked her to obtain her credit reports and to contact him when she receives them. In the meantime, she filed a police report. And now I just came across this website, along with several others, and the Better Business Bureau only to discover that yes, it appears it is a complete scam.My husband and I are completely livid and outraged that a business such as this with as many complaints as this, is still permitted to operate!!! Why haven't these animals been raided, closed down and thrown in jail?!!! Now I'm going to scour the Internet to find out what I can do. I'll write letters to everyone and anyone I have to, to do my part to put a stop to this.

Hi, they call me constantly-day and night. I NEVER answer. However, I am now having some fun with these waste of spaces. When they call, I immediately or at some point that day, call them and when someoen answers, I call them BOOBS and hang up. I also text the and call them boobs. Sometimes at night, I just leave lost of messages calling them boobs and laugh at them for all the time they have wasted trying to get a hold of me-DUMB BOOBS, LOL. I figure, I might as well have some fun with these pathetic people. The BBB and the Do Not Call registry cannot seem to shut these clowns down.

I didn't study law for no reason. I have gotten plenty of phone calls regarding a phone bill that does not belong to me. I reported it as fraud and have even called this number back to ge more information. They refused to give me the information I requested, were beyond rude and if that is not enough, I was cursed out and hung up on. Now I'm pissed. I did my research and found out where the NY base is located and here is there address and direct phone #:900 Merchants Concourse#106Westbury, NY 11590516-228-7100Just to show how stupid they are, I called to verify the address and they fell right into my trap.I love stupid people........Hope this information helps those who need to file the proper complaints with the Better Business Bureau. I have been trying to work with this company (DRS) for months now. They claim I owe a debt to T-Mobile (I've never been a T-Mobile customer), for an account listed at an address where I've never lived. I have now provided them with all the proof they initially required (all financial and personal information redacted), and now they tell me that's not enough. When I tried asking for more information they got angry and hung up. They've now hung up on me 5 times, and like other reports above, they are quite rude and clearly illiterate. I've now decided I'm done - they've lost money in wages at this point ($190 is the claim amt, I'm sure I've cost them more than that) and it can stay on my account forever if they want. Hopefully I've exasperated them enough as the "supervisor" called me back today; when I asked if the call was being recorded she freaked out on me. Said they won't call me or send any more letters and it's my credit report. I said that was perfect, considering the $190 debt is 6.5 years old and not affecting my credit poorly in any way. We'll see if that really solved the problem.

I have a charge for $260 on my charge card from them. I have no idea why I never authorized it and I have no idea how they got my credit card number.

They call at least 4 times a week telling me i owe money for something that isn't my bill. Very rude,never answer their phones when you tr to call them back and an answering service says theirs no one there when they call you after hours.Whats up with that.

These people call about one a week, I know just pick up and hang up as fast as I can. I know it will be an recording asking me to call them back. They are trying to collect on a fradulant debt that Sprint says I owe. I have all the paper work to show I don't and have used it several time to prove to others including the Credit Reporting agencies, put these people do not seem to want to hear anything.I would love to join a class action against these people!
