Every time I tried to call them back and asked questions. I was put on hold. It's got to be a scam.
Received several calls from 800-851-9631. After relating to them I was "not the guy" who must have previously had this> (my) number, sureenough, the very next day they called. Here's what I did.! Basically it was an exited rant about telephone terrorism... I used every alarm word that the HLS/FBI/NSB etc., scan for in our phone conversations> (per Edward Snowden) to locate possible homeland threats.I have used this tact on several occasions w/ better than good results. They generally hang up with haste after they hear where the conversation has gone.*** CAUTION...Keep the conversation without making threats.. Example: This is another attack on my home/cell phone. I see it as a possibleact of terrorism... Every time my phone rings its seems like a bomb being dropped from your dirty company. This might be how ISIS reachesterrorists phone numbers...etc.. Keep it suggestive but without libel.
They constantly call looking for my mom or my sister and when we ask what for, they say that they can't say. So we hang up because they won't give us a clear answer to the reason why.
This is from a debt collector. Received another call from this person on Nov. 30 th 2015. I DO NOT OWE ANY DEBT. This should not be allowed. I am an 80 year old female on a very limited budget. These calls are annoying.
They called me and stated they were attempting to collect a debt (I just had my credit report ran from the bank 2 weeks ago due to applying for a mortgage loan, I have no debt) and asked that I verify the last 4 of my SSN. I would not. They read the numbers off to me and said "I just need you to say yes this is the last 4 of my SSN" and I refused to verify ANYTHING to do with my identity. They were very angry and finally hung up on me. I work for an attorney's office and he told me of a new scam that people try on the elderly. They ask the person, " Is this....." and when the person says "Yes" the caller records them saying yes. They attempt to get bank account info and if they get enough to steal their identity and steal their money, they have a recording of them saying "Yes" in agreement to something that wasn't even discussed. DO NOT ANSWER ANY OF THIER QUESTIONS
I got a voicemail from a robot that repeatedly said to 'press one if you are _____' - and they said my full name with middle initial - which I never use except on my debit card, which means that they've either hacked a computer at the bank or an online vendor where my phone number is used is selling the information. The message never said who they were or what they wanted, just repeated that if I was that person to press one. This is totally creepy.
