I had the exact same thing happen to me that Jim and Gregg described. This is a very sophisticated con. I did not give them the code and changed my password, but clearly they were still trying to access my account, as the new password I created was invalid later in the day. I also reported this to T-Mobile.

I received a call from this number on 26/12/13 3:55pm et. Told me they were from AT&T and I was going to receive a 30% discount on my next 3 months due to my pay history. I gave them my last 4 digit zip and last 4 Soc Sec no.I searched the internet and found is a scam, I called AT&T and reported the call and they did some changes in my account.PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO ANY CALL YOU RECEIVE FROM ANY UNKNOWN NUMBER.

Got a call from (800) 866-2453 and said he was a T-Mobile Rep (heavy Middle Eastern accent). Research shows it's a T-Mobile number in Gulfport, Mississippi, phishing for the last 4 of your SSN. I don't have T-Mobile service. . I hung up immediately. This morning (Jan1, 2014) got a missed call from (473) 520-9751, listed as a number in Grenada. Didn't answer it thankfully. Evidently, it's a scam from the Caribbean wanting you to call them back and your provider charges you out the wazoo for calling an international number. They try to keep you on the phone as long as possible to rack up the minutes.Happy 2014 . . the scammers are out in full- force! Maybe because the Target scam didn't go so well . . . smarten up people :-)

These [***] holes just called me. I new I instantly it was a scam because the rep had the worst accent!! Lol I kept saying hubby I can under stand what the hell you are saying and she lady hung up!Watch out!!!!!! Scam scam scam scam!!

I just got the call as Jim describes above and new it was a scam. I have reported it to T-Mobile and they are investigating.
