I don't know what any of these people on this thread are talking about that are saying that this is a legit chase number. It's NOT A LEGIT CHASE CALL. They must be a part of the scam. I also received a call this morning from the robo voice from this number saying that I had fraudulent charges on my chase account. I was instructed to call back this number with a reference number I was given. I did not call this number back after reading these posts and decided to call the chase number on the back of my card. The woman I spoke with let me know that there were no fraudulent charges on my card, my account had not been flagged, and they have not sent out any texts or calls regarding my account. She also informed me that many other people have also called about the exact same issue and IT IS A SCAM. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK. You should either report it to chase or just ignore it.

This is a legitimate Chase number. I called and they verified. Just call Chase and confirm for yourself

I got a text email and a call from this number in about 5 mins, which is consistent with chase fraud alerts I have previously dealt with. Just call chase to be sure if you're iffy on this. The number also did not ask for any info it was just a recording to inform me of my card fraud activity.

I contacted my chase branch and they confirmed that this is a legitimate fraud prevention number for chase bank.

It's definitely Chase Fraud Prevention calling. My card was turned down for a subsequent purchase, and when I called the number back (800-978-8664) I was transferred to a guy that was able to make a quick change on the status of my card so that I could then use it once again, within about 2 mins. I have been making several large purchases over the last couple of days and that's why they were calling. Good to know they're watching out for me!

Got an automated call from this number that left a voicemail saying I had a suspicious activity on my Chase account. The call sounded very official (gave me a 6 digit ref # and said my name) and instructed me to call another number than the one that left the automated message so I could speak to someone and verify my account info and keep my card from having fraudulent activity. The other number they gave had tried me twice, once earlier in the day, once after this call. I called Chase using the number on the back of my card, and they said I had no fraudulent activity, no history of Chase calling me or reporting any problems, and that Chase would not ask for information like this over the phone! Chase keeps track of any times they try and contact you, and they had no record of of trying to contact me. Further, they instructed me that if they suspect fraud charges, they call you typically right at the time of the charge - not later. This number is absolutely a scam - Do NOT give them your information! If you suspect problems, call Chase directly, but do NOT call this number or give them your info!

This number is ABSOLUTELY the Chase Fraud number. Prove it to yourself - Call the number on the back of your card and ask them to transfer you to the Fraud Prevention department. Then, ask the person who answers for a number that you can use to call them back. They will give you the 800-978-8664 number.This number is completely safe.

It is legitimate chase call. I called the number on the back of the card and in fact my debit card had been compromised. Don't give out the info, call Chase directly. I'm glad they let me know.

This is a legitimate Chase call. I called the online Chase customer service line (not this number) and they confirmed that my card was compromised....so this is a legitimate call from Chase customer service.
