my calls have been coming to my boyfriends work phone non stop daily from a kate mchone n hes getting rather pissed they will be blocked.
They have been calling and not leaving a message for a while. It is on a debt on an interest payment from 9 years ago that I did not pay because we paid it on time, but the company said we were a day late (long story there, but we sent it in a week early!!!). When they caught me this morning I told them to go ahead and sue me for the $136.00 or go ahead and try to put another mark on my credit, as it is otherwise flawless. They didn't seem to like that and said they would be in touch. I'm pretty sure I won't hear from them just like I didn't hear from the other 13-14 nickel-and-dime collectors who have tried to collect on this over the years without success, despite their lawsuit and credit "threats."
I got a call from this company and the lady asked me who I was, and If someone I do know was here. I have no idea where the person is they are looking for, then after the person telling me that I was held liable to outstanding bills, I asked the lady her name, address, and whatever other information I could get from her. THe phone went dead.I called the number back then was placed on hold, needless to say I don't like being place on hold so I hung up the phone. Not 5 seconds later, mthe hone rang again, and it was Tammy Ferguson. I told her not to call me anymore, she asked who I was, I told her she already knew who I was since she called me back. She started being elementary and tried to bully me into talking over me, I told her again in a firm voice, DO NOT CALL ME ANYMORE. I WILL TAKE OUT A RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST YOU. She started saying something else, did not listen as I hung the phone up.I pay my bills, and the only thing I owe on is my vehicle, which I've never been late on any payments. I don't care who this lady thinks she is, but if she calls my phone number again, I will take out a restraining order on her and her company.
As of 2-10-10 they are doing business as usual. Received a phone call AT WORK (which is in violation of the fair debt collection act), message just gives a last name as tells me to call this number. They are Professional Recover Consultants, Inc. out of Durham, North Carolina and apparently have gotten into the medical debt collection business. Since a medical debt cannot be placed on your credit history, it appears that they are trying to disguise the type of debt as a general debt so it can be placed in credit reports, or they are simply implying that they can report a medical debt.
Yeah, this is Recovery Professional Services. Tammy, with the southern accent, is rude. If you get a call from that number, it's best to ignore it and let them contact you via mail. What a witch. Sheesh
A woman calls our church office today asking for the senior pastor, stating his name in full. It is my job to screen his calls, since we receive numerous solicitations each day. She refused to tell me the name of her company. I proceeded to ask if she was a church member...no was the answer. I told her she would not be connected to the pastor until she further identified herself. She exclaimed, "I can see you can't hear me." Very, very rude. When I told her how this call was going to work, she hung up on me. I called this number back and told my story to the person who answered. She stated the name of the company was PRC and she knew who called me. She stated she would speak with the caller's supervisor about her rudeness. She went on to say the call was "personal" ... which I think is not the case, especially when I read the comments of other people who have been called by them.
You should call them and tell them NOT to contact you via that number again. They have to stop.
These folks just called twice in half an hour. Now that I know who it is, I'll continue to ignore them. They're trying to get me to pay off the balance of a debt I worked out a payment plan for years ago, and I refuse to do so. Thanks for the information.
Tammy is calling from Recovery Professional Services in an attempt to collect a debt. They are usually medical debts.I wouldn't speak with Tammy if I were you. I just spoke with her and she is rude and refuses to listen to anything you have to say unless it's I'll pay the bill. LOLLet her send you mail and then answer it if you want, but don't bother trying to talk with her; it's useless.
