Just had this number show up on my cell phone. I didn't answer and there is a hangup in my voice mailbox.
I got this number and it was in Mexican so I knew it was spam. So I called 'em back and babbled in English...they bought some stuff from me! Paid w/ a cashiers check for more than my selling price. I cashed it and sent them the difference...pretty cool, huh? Uh, wait...hold on...my bank's calling on the other line.....
I never picked it up. I have received quite a few calls from debt collecting agencies and hospitals for someone who had this phone number before me. Now, I am getting scam calls. You know what I did? IGNORE! XD
I received a call from this number on my cell phone. I wasn't there to pick it up, so I called back but got "Sorry, this number cannot be completed".
Got the call today, June 27. Given they are asking for credit card numbers and targetting spanish speakers, the question arises of why the government is not shutting this long running scam down.

Called three times and left no message. The third time the name that came up on my phone was Authors Club president. I answered and the caller then said they were collecting on a debt, claimed they were recording the call. Scam.
