I didn't answer the call from this number. I didn't want to call the number back because I didn't recognize the number. Thanks for everyone's comments. I now know not to call them back!

Had a call from "Account Services". Normally they hang up when I answer but this time my wife answered the phone and got a live person instead of a recording. She then passed the phone to me. It became quickly apparent that it is a credit card phishing scheme, so after listening to the guy's pitch, I proceeded to politely inform him that the information he was requesting was personal and that my number was on the Do Not Call registry. I then asked him how he could live with himself, working for such a blankety-blank organization. Before he could hang up I called him several vile names and hopefully he will not call again. If he does, I will track him down and make it impossible for him to ever use a telephone again. plus he will be defecating and speaking out of the same orifice.

Just go to your telephone company web site and BLOCK the offending number, so it will not be able to come thru.But that's nothing permanent, because those Caller ID spoofers use a number for one day or so, then start to use some other number. Wow, we all seem to get this call in the same timeframe. I received the call on Saturday, 9/17/2011. I didn't answer. I'm on DNC. Not to mention, my phone is WIRELESS so they are illegal to call me.
