Some [***] person called reading a script, very bad accent, to inform me (well to read me) that I had won a free home security system. I pretended to get really but really excited, even screamed and pretended to almost have a heart attack since I had finally won something for "free" then she passed it over to the "area manager" to provide me with the great details of the offer. As soon as he came on the phone, I asked him if he wanted either my credit card number, social security number, or my checking account number... He freaked out, then I told him that I needed to be removed from his [***] calling list and he hung up. We both lived happily ever after....

Not sure how they got my number, either. but I spoke with an Indian-sounding woman that was "giving away" a $500 security system and was going to have her area manager call back and give details. I went along with the gag to find out more info. I'll report more when I know it.

You sound fancy

I don't appreciate these people harassing my teenage daughter's cell phone. There should be a law against this, especially the harassment of minor children. These people should have all telephone privileges revoked permanently!

When i asked how he got my cell #,he said he got it from the hell.

This number would call me 10 times a day and when I'd call it back it was always busy and today I got it again and when I answer it they hung up on me! I have zero tolerance for bs!!

Have gotten at least 6 calls from this 813-793-6945 in the last three days. It is a "Home Security" sales call. I asked twice to have my number removed and each time I was promptly and very RUDELY hung up on!!! I have sent in registration to the National Do Not Call list!!! Next time I might just listen to their stupid sales pitch and then inform them that they have called an FBI crime scene and now they must give me their personal phone number so they can be contacted as "material witnesses"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE: Just got the call back from the "area manager"--LOL. The first call came from the Tampa, Florida, area and the second (from the "area manager") came from the Dallas, Texas, area. "Jennifer" wanted to again confirm that I was a homeowner so I could say yes to the security system offer. I told her I wasn't going to disclose it and I wasn't interested in a security system. She asked me why. I told her I already had one (It's called a Colt). She thanked me and hung up (She was anglo-sounding, and the number she called me from was 972-972-499-5140).
