This number called me today, I didn't answer, they left no message. I Looked here. Called the number back. Said it was VERIZON BILLING. I called Verizon from my handset at *611, they verified they DID NOT call me, plus I have a 0.00 balance. SCAM!! Do not give them any information!
I was on the other line and didn't get to answer call waiting quickly enough. I called back moments later, and a Verizon recording said the number had been disconnected. After reading through these messages, it seems I didn't miss anything legit!
I get a few of these every week. I have my own way of dealing with it. I have a cordless phone, so I screen the calls, and anything that is out of area that I don't immediately recognize, I don't even pick up. Or if I want to have some fun with them, I'll hit the "talk" button ( like I'm getting ready to answer) and then I'll immediately hit the off button. That way, it's like I'm hanging up on them, instead of them hanging up on me, and not giving them a chance to say anything. Now, if I got these calls in the middle of the night or something, then yeah, I'd be upset. But so far I haven't, so I just take it all in stride, and have a little fun of my own.
Said it was "This is Tim, from the customer service department. Can you hear me okay?" I just hung up and added them to the call reject list.
