Have received several calls on my cell over the last two days. When I attempt to call back I get a message from Verizon saying the # has been disconnected.
Just received a call from this Scam # 816-527-6625 today 7/2 and from 313-409-5081 on 6/17 one says Version # has been changed or disconnected the other says the VM box is full.I am and have been registered on the Do Not Call list for some time and just re registered a few weeks ago..
MO Attorney General has a very convenient web site for No-Call violations. I've reported 3 or 4 numbers that way.
Got a call today on my personal cell phone. I stupidly answered it. It was an automated message saying "Don't hang up, this is an important message! Your student loan --" and I hung up. My student loans were paid off a decade ago. This is a Kansas City number.
Got a call from this number this morning...a Sunday! and day after Independence Day! I have the call blocker but since this number has called before, I decided to call back... It WAS a Verizon number which is no longer in service..which means... some scammer has acquired this number to fool his victims...
Number has called both land and cell lines. When you answer it says Congratulations you have won a free vacation to the Bahamas. Hit the 9 key by accident and a message came on saying Thank you for your time, your number will be removed from our system.
rec'd on my cell. said, I stayed at one of their motels, which was not true. checked here and just as I suspected. It's a scam.
I haven't lived in Kansas City for almost 5 years but kept my cell number and still have friends there. I answered this call and it's definitely a scam. Never had Verizon.
