I recieve this call from 817-444-5194 on my work 800 line saying something about a auto warrenty. I wish I could not pick up calls like that but I never know if it work related or not. This S**T has to stop. What can we do as a group. Let's do something.
December 22, 12:30 pm - In NY, Didn't answer, no message, I have also received car warranty calls when I have not answered unknown numbers Have received a large amount of calls that when returned state that they are out of service, and when I use reverse phone look up they have a name and address. I don't have my number listed on any random pages except where my resumes are posted on job searching websites such as careerbuilder, monster.com, marketing websites and a few others. I think these sites could very well be using the numbers listed on the resumes submitted or other illiterate people are searching these and using the numbers. Either way it is annoying. I suggest other people leave possible solutions on how these people may be obtaining the numbers, who they work for, phone company advice, or anything else that may help.
This number calls all of the lines on our business phone several times a day - many times we answer and they just hang up without saying anything, other times it is a recording stating that it is the "3rd and final notice" that our car warranty is about to expire. These people call all of the cell phones in my family as well as my home phone and all of those numbers are on the "Do Not Call" list. If you press 1 to get through to someone and ask them to remove your number, they just hang up on you - is there anything that we can do to stop this harrassment????
Those idiots keep calling me & yes its about some warranty on a car or whatever. They've called me from a NJ area code and several CA area codes as well. Today they called me from this number & it said if I wanted to talk with a rep. & I said yes b/c before I had pressed the 1 or 2 so they would remove my number from the list. Anyways I got connected with some guy named "Frank" & as I was telling him to stop calling my number the c**t hung up on me! & funny story I'm 15 & don't even own a car! I really wanna talk to the police about this.
This looks like the same group of scammers. The call comes from a few other numbers as well, such as a cell phone in Vegas, Va, and another state. Usually its a recording of the car warranty about to expire and press 1 to continue. I made up some story about a car I owned and gave a fake name/number. I hung up after they asked for credit card information. I feel bad for the person that owns this number, my guess is its spoofed.
I got sick of their calls so I called that 800 number. You first get a spiel about how they don't do direct calls ([***]). I spoke to a CSR and she said they don't do keep any lists that I could be removed from. I asked her who called me then and she refused to say anything.
Receive constant calls from this so called warranty center. It's all a scam they try to get people to buy extended warranties for a ridiculous amount of money. It's time for them to close shop!!
