"as soon as I put my number on that list..ive been getting MASSIVE random calls from unknown numbers from other states about nonsense."Yup. That's part of their scam! They actually have NO no-call list! All those other numbers like this one ... all spoofed too! Basically the same bs tactic a few other widely know scam artists use as well!!!Picking up and answering their scam calls as well as pressing a number to be placed on their non-existent no call list only, in actuality, tells these scum that they got a working number and the calls as a result increase. From scam to harassment with fraud at the heart!!!And like our non-friends Rachel and Tom (Cardholder Services and Home Protection/Home Security Group ... these sick [***] target everyone on the National Do Not Call list!!! And also, like the others, these are nothing but criminals who don't care about any laws, will repeatedly violate them and continually harass anyone any everyone ... repeatedly as well!!!
I did not answer this call. I have this cell number registered on the do not call list. How can they keep calling?
@Robert: And I have a bridge I can sell you...Pressing '1' to supposedly remove your number from their list will more likely put you on their "sucker" list, as in "Can you believe this sucker thinks we're going to remove his/her number from our list?"The Do Not Call list is a bona fide joke. The scammers have figured out the loopholes or just don't care. Adding their numbers to a block list is futile; I'm pretty sure they recycle these numbers on a daily basis. In fact, I have added about 10 scammer numbers to my contact list over the past year (name: Scammer ###-###-####), and I have never seen a repeat call. The worst offenders, in my book, are the ones that send text messages. Since I don't use text messaging except in very rare instances, I don't have a text plan, so each text I get costs me 20¢ each. Verizon is no help. Ideally, I should be able to block all text messages from senders that are not in my contacts list. But that's a cash cow for Verizon, so nothing's going to change there. I need to shop other carriers to see how they handle text messaging.
Called my cell at 12:05PM on February 25th, 2012. I answered the call; there was 17 seconds of silence before the party hung-up.
