They keep calling for my father in law who passed away some years ago. This is straight harassment that never stops..idiots!
Calls and sometimes leaves a message. The message is a robo voice that counts down from 10. Says this is a message for a different name than mine. Then claims to be a collections company calling for an important business matter. Claims this is not a sales call. Urges me to call back at that same 844 number.I will try to block the number. They call a lot!
This number calls me at east twice a day for the past few weeks with a robo voice saying I'm someone I'm not. I ended up just blocking the number as I just got sick of it.
The lady who was at the other end of the line indicated she was phoning from a nearby city, Burlington, Ontario. For a start, the area code she was using was not Burlington, so that was the first warning. Then, and this really amused me, she said that the call was being recorded for "security" purposes (whose security one wonders?) and to confirm I was who I was, would I state my date of birth. That is the first step in a phishing expedition, so I put the phone down.
Received calls from this number and 866-877-0747, which sometimes shows up with name Toll Free Survey. Both numbers are for CBV Collections. I don't answer as I dont know if legit or not. And I am not calling back. Doesn't bother me if phone rings.
For the past three or four weeks I have received calls from this number at my cottage on Monday mornings. It repeats three times at five minute intervals and leaves a message asking for an individual that is not me. They leave a reference number of 01171263797. 011 being the international dialling code I do not return the call. But it isi really annoying to keep getting these calls. The only salvation is that I will be closing the cottage soon.

I didn't recognize the number so I obviously was checking to see who it was
The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

Unsolicited call. Wanted me to complete my "voter profile." I've voted from this address for over 20 years.
It happened to me they got into my computer and got all bank info they took over $4000. from me left me with nothing. Don't trust anyone this was a setup.
