All it takes is for someone to answer a scam call ONE TIME--and they'll relentlessly hound you for weeks on end. NEVER answer calls that appear suspicious on your Caller ID. If they're legit--a person will leave a voice mail. Scam crooks either hang up or pass off some phony pre-recorded message. Every scam call you DON'T ANSWER, brings these scumbags a step closer to failure....and that tends to get expensive for them, in the long run.

Scammers originating from Montreal, Canada--made to look like the call is sourced from New Jersey. Rang only 4 times, before voice mail kicked in--confirmed scammer troupe at work. My call tracer points to call sourced from Montreal, Canada.

Called and left no message.

Home on a day off - Received call "Tom's River, NJ" on caller ID. Said they were an environmental agency calling homeowners that have septic tanks. When I said I might have one they hung up. Tried to call number back and it is disconnected. 848-480-2226 8484802226

The problem is these companies actually use the DNC list for numbers to solicit.

The caller identified themselves as being "from an environmental company" but wouldn't say the company name. When I asked how they plan to service my septic tank from hundreds of miles away, he started babbling about a nationwide something or other and I hung up on him. It's a scam of some kind.

Caller ID #848-480-2226 TOMS RIVER NJ. Have called twice in the last 2 days. Did not leave a message on voice mail. It's idiots like these telemarketers that make me screen ALL of the phone calls that come in. It's gotten so bad that I tell people who need to speak with me to leave a message or I will not call them back from the Caller ID # because 3/4 of the calls I get are telemarketers. I, too, am on the DNC list and have reported the numbers over the years, but I still get these blasted calls. Really irritating.

Humm, Seems to me that the government is to blame. Someone should put pressure on the PHONE COMPANY, they are the ones that need to stop these calls. Course they make there money from them so they should be made to stop them. The do not call list, is to just to satisfy and make folks think they are doing something. I say get the government to go after the phone company and the call will stop. Call your state politicians and let them know a election is coming up.Just my 2 cents worth.

I asked why are you calling me. The man said my computer had called them. I said no it didn;t and don;t call me again. The caller hung up.

no message.....says EPI on the caller ID.
