My daughter got the same emails but from a different name. We thought the owner lived in Burlington, VT because it was on the Burlington, VT craigslist. After receiving the second email about being in the Nevada Army National Guard, I googled her name and "Nevada Army National Guard" because it just didn't sound right. Which led me to these postings. Very glad I checked as I had, literally, just taken the money out of my daughter's bank account. We thought we were driving to Burlington, VT to buy a car for her. :/ Thank you for sharing these posts, as we would not have known about the scam unless I had seen them.

The name given for this one was Debbie Fordham.

Right now I'm on the hook for Honda accord LX for 2k...I found the same EXACT e-Mail that was sent to me today from Senior Medic Sgt. Norma Harris being deployed to Afganistan, currently at Las Vegas Air Base....she? Is waiting for me to tell her to send it...her e-mail address is harrisnorma8@gmail. com...can you catch this person? J.D.

Almost scammed twice in two days, one using the name Norma Harris, the other using the name Cindy Warner. Similar details of scam; military about to be deployed and needing to sell a car. Don't buy it.

Senior Medic Sgt. Linda Nelson is who almost got me to buy a 2005 Chevy Silverado SS. I would like to think that one of our federal law enforcement agencies would get involved because she/he is doing this in varying states. I'm not familiar with the law, but if you cross state lines with anything illegal aren't you subject to federal prosecution?I am very sorry for all the good people who got fleeced by this person or organization. Hopefully they will be caught and suffer the consequences. I hope that whatever they purchase with every penny they stole from all of you cause them nothing but pain and misery.

I have been dealing with senior medic sgt. Norma Harris also. Exact same wording, although a different car mine was a 2008 Nissan Maxima, 67,000 miles, reduced price to 2000$ because of deployment to Afghanistan on July 11, 2015. How can she be in two places at the same time? The earlier post said she was leaving in June? The e-mail their using is howard.patricia9@gmail.com. We e-mailed back and forth for 2 days, had cash in hand and was ready to go purchase the PayPal and start the process when a few FRIENDS said sounds to good to be true, and you know what, it is to good to be true because the whole thing is a lie!!! I was a flight medic in the Army and almost lost my life for my Country more than once and using deployment to Afghanistan and the Army as a way to pull at patriotic americans hearts in order to steel from people, is, well, $&;@$?/!! Up!!! At this point all I can say is they better hope active duty, or prior service people don't catch up with them. God will judge us all in the end and I'm sure they will be judged accordingly. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND OUR MILITARY. This is a scam!
