They called for my mother since my cell is under her name..same thing. Rude lady won't give info etc and wants u to verify info..didn't give them any info.
THIS IS A SCAMThey are trying to collect on an old debt of a family member even though the statue of limitations to collect that debt has expired! I’ve been dealing with vultures like this for a year now! Here’s what I’ve learned from filing so many complaints with the FTC:They are required by law to give you their professional license number! They are required by law to tell you what state they are licensed to do business in!They are required by law to give you their address! It is illegal for them to threaten legal action! If they do not comply with any of the above the FTC says they are a scam and to report them. I will now be reporting this company.Be prepared for these people to be beligerent and hostile towards you. Which is actually illegal, they are required by law to treat you with respect. They apparently hate to be called out for their crimes! Also, get informed about your rights and your state’s laws. The statue of limitations to collect on the debt for the state my family member lives in is 4 years. That date came and went long ago!Don’t be ashamed and stick up for yourself and most of all file a complaint with the FTC and your state’s Attorney General’s office!!Here’s the FTC #: (877) 382-4357. They are very lovely people and very helpful!Good luck everyone!!
These are scammers. I work for a communications company and tracked their virtual numbers. They go to various virtual DID companies (Vonage, Peerless Network, etc), and rent local numbers and then record a Text to Speech message that inserts your name into the read message and claim you owe money or that they need your information for something. It's usually a Black guy who answers the return call and calls you names when you point out he's a scammer. He didn't take too kindly to me bringing up the fact that I work for a communications company that works with LAPD. I filed a formal charge with the FTC through my professional channels. Chances are, they purchased a phone/name list from somewhere online or from a scrupulous debt company that had a list from years ago. If you get a call from this or a random 'local' number demanding things, know that a real company cannot, per government regulations passed in late 2015, randomly call you without first properly introducing themselves, your debt, and their contact information (phone, address, website, etc all required) through the United Postal Service. Laugh and hang up on these people.

Received a call on an old number that I've moved to a track phone (just for this purpose) from Alison Shrader. She said that I have a case against me, blah, blah, blah...I deleted the call.
Definitely a scam, was contacted by reaching out to a family member. (Our numbers haven't changed in years and they never called me.) When I told her that was taken care of years ago, she told me to produce the records. I said ok and ideas told to "grow a pair". When I called back to get her name I was told if I called back they would press charges against me for harassment. Bahaha your going to file harassment charges against someone who is trying to get to the bottom of a so called debt. Laughable. You met your match this time
They call and call and say respond before 7pm est time which I've heard 3 days in a row now. Super annoyed.
