Some random guy asking to help protect my computer from a virus attack. Sounded insane. I just hung up.

Just got a call from an heavily accented man claiming to be calling for Microsoft Windows/PC Wizard. they tried to get me to go through some steps on my computer, but I kept asking them random questions, and they eventually said they would remove my phone number from their records. I made him very frustrated, he could not tell me exactly why he was calling me, just that my computer might be downloading malware and that it was just a courtesy call. I told him if I had problems I would call a tech guy for help, not take help from some random person calling me. Anyway, this was frustrating, what ever happened to being on the 'do not call list' anyway?

I told the guy i knew he was calling from Selona beach California, and if he called again, i'd kill him.

JUST GOT A CALL AND THEY H/UP AFTER I ANSEWERED WITH A BZ NAME THAT I WORK FROM HOME FOR.IWISH KHARMIC BURNING OF FINGERS TO THE SCAMMERS!!

I too received a call today and they hung up once I answered. I did say hello three times before they hung up..

No one spoke when I answered. Only background voices, then they hung up.

Got the same call on my cell -- no call list doesn't mean anything to these guys

A forgien guy calls everyday saying I have a virus with my windows and he can fix it. Sorry to say I just stopped answering the calls and he stopped calling. A crying shame

I just recently changed my cell provider and so I got a new phone number. The Indian man originally asked for a Julie, I told him this was a new number and that Julie didn't own the number anymore. After several times of telling him this information, then he proceeded to ask for the owner of the phone number. He told me he was calling about Windows on my computer. He wanted to talk to me about it. I told him my husband takes care of that matter (as he is an IT specialist). He then asked when he could call my husband. At this point I began telling him to not call again, ever and then I hung up on him...Glad to see that my suspicions were true!!

Just got a call from the indian guy who claims my computer is infected with a virus, its a scam what ever you do don't give out any information to them.....Google the number.
