Caller hung up. my number is on the no call listing like that matters to this bunch

Caller claimed to be Catholic Medical Mission Board wanting a donation for matching gift to help refugees in South Sudan. I don't donate over the phone.

how can we stop the unwanted calls?

MDS Communications is a professional fundraising/telemarketing company with clients from CARE to Salvation Army and the like - (Christian/conservative/pro life organizations are their clients) - they use an automated dialer system - when you call back - the computer has to route your call - and your record- to an available caller who is usually just finishing up an outbound call - they are a legitimate organization - I used to work for them - and many of their clients would come in and do live visits and give them updates as to how much we helped them to raise, what the issues are now, etc... The only 'debt collecting' they do is SOME of the clients (non profits they call for) ask them to call back people who have pledged to make a gift in the last year and after 3 letters requesting the promised funds, it was not received. otherwise, it is simple information and request for help for various non-profits that hire MDS to make the calls for them

Received a call from this number but they did not leave a message. I will assume it is spam/telemarketer.

Number calls and no one speaks and do not like it. What is the good on being on a do not call list?
