My caller ID said SAN DIEGO, CA and the number. I live in Arizona and know no one in San Diego so I never answered it. I never answer any calls from a number, location, caller identity, or area code that I don't know personally. Being on the National Do Not Call Registry is a farce because no one will do anything about these calls even if you report it.Caller ID seems to be the only effective defense by just letting it ring and never answering the call. Eventually they'll move on to a more lucrative location where unsuspecting people without caller ID answer them.

Called but left no message. Probably yet another questionable organization. Don't give them any information or money.

Have been receiving calls, not answered. Decided to pick up the phone and answer to request the person stop calling (as they never leave a msg). Silence on the line. I said, "Hello." Breathing on the line. I said, "Hello." Breathing that sounded like a deep male's voice. I said, "Put us on your DO NOT CALL LIST. Thanks." He hung up.

All of these "professional" collectors for charity are rip offs. Only 3 - 5% of what they suck out of people, ever go to the charity they CLAIM to represent. That's just enough for them to go under the radar on the Do Not Call registry. (A joke to begin with) If they claim to have any political fund raiser, I've found that usually they've never been endorsed by any party. As long as they can find someone that thinks they're helping by donating, they'll continue their calls. The scum!
